hi im a new builder. my pc spec is asus p5ql-em/q9550/4gb-ram/WD-1TB/gtx1060/alc1200/tp-link751ND / windows 7

i downloaded the Olarila install for high sierra, (because i believe q9550 doesnt have the SSE4.2 required for mojave)

when i boot the Olarila clover, i can see a disk1: I/O error, then fail at erasing the disk to apfs, message is error at last partition etc etc.

i think this is an ICH10 error with appleAHCI.kext v329? however, how do i go about fixing this? as i am unable to access the usb drive in windows after loading Olarila on it?

your help is much appreciated, looking forward to get the hackintosh up and running, i hope theres life in the system yet.

thanks,

mira.p

hi maldon,

thanks for your help and also for putting all the resources together.

I enabled the patch and installed HS without problem. when I copied your clover775 folder over to my EFI, the option for IO Error patch disappeared, I managed to put it back myself with the I/O binary patches in config.plist.

Then I installed the nvida webdriver, and that was straight forward without issue.

however I have not yet found a solution for the sound to work. my sound-device should be alc1200 (from Asus p5ql-em), and I tried injecting layout-id 1,2,3,5,7,11,12,13 , none of them worked. the only way the computer would boot into HS is if the layout-id is empty, any other number it would end with the error message 'time out with IOHDADEVICE........"

I have also tried fixed option and suggestions from https://hackintosher.com/guides/get-hackintosh-audio-working/ but neither have not worked.

do you have any ideas/suggestions? your help is much appreciated.

many thanks.

hi maldon,

thanks for the dsdt, I put it in the refi/clover/acpi/patch, and loaded it in clover startup, however it is the same timeout iohdadevice error. I also tried replacing applehda in extension with older (alc1200) one from internet back in 2009-12, then the Mac would boot with both bios.aml/your dsdt.aml, but neither show any sound output device. I tried Toleda patch also, but no luck still. it seems like applehda is the problem. I have put the vanilla HS applehda back in extensions.

from your website, there are dsdt for p5ql-e and p5q-em which are similar to mine, unfortunately I don't know enough to put the the code into test.

I hope by fixing the hackintosh it would keep my hardware alive for a few more years, that would be amazing.

I have attached my latest zip, please let me know if you have further ideas that we can try out to fix the problem.

many thanks.

hi maldon,

I copied the vanilla applehda from your Olarila HighSierra USB into S/L/E. then I tried to inject layout-id with 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/11, still no sound output on anyone of them. I have attached my applehda in zip.

is there any other info/data that might help?

many thanks.

also please see my clover audio screenshot, it has 2 controller, is that correct?

and this is the error message from my bios.aml + id layout 1

correction: i think i have been using your dsdt + inject layout 1 to 11, not bios.aml.

Two questions:

1. there is a patch for ICH10 + Opencore 0.6.7 + Big Sur?

2. there is a way to rename default boot entries on Opencore 0.6.7?

Thanx in advance
