Hello, I'm releasing the System Info app, developed by me based on oldnapalm's idea. It has two main uses, first as a hardware parser, as in this image:

 

 

And second, linking devices to its related kext, as shown below:

 

 

The application goal is, beyound helping the user to identify hardware, to generate a Hardware Compatibility List, which browser is available at http://Olarila.com/kexts. The user can send kext information (name and version) and respective device ids to feed the system from inside the application, selecting the menu option "Submit data", as in the image:

Windows and Linux versions allow users to evaluate the hardware compatibility. Requires java JRE to run.

I got a problem ,

when I put the Ven ID and Dev ID and Click search button ,

then It's just showed nothing ,

But I used the System Info First,

It's showed my devices have kext.

what's problem with it??

You have to type vendor or device ID (not both) and select the right option in the combo box below.

Hi, where can I download the compatible kext? A bit confuse, and dont know how to use the systeminfo...

You can download only if the button is enabled. If it's disabled the kext is not available for download, only the information for compatibility check is available.

i got a problem in this computer it can't open the file

with java and java is correctly instaled, what can i do

Which Java version and which OS?

Run from terminal (java -jar) and post the error message.

Right click on the jar and choose to open with Java Runtime, maybe the jar extension is associated with another app.

hello again

in the system info is shown a number of kexts that are associated to those devices, do i have to have those kexts instaled

 

 

all this because my audio doesnt play ok with all kexts what was good for me is a thing likae a compilation off azalia and applehda, because whene in azalia it appears to have hda, never tested but from headphones the audio is ok

 

but to have speakers i use alc883 from the hazard dvd, but in this case the hdaudio output doesn't work or i cant control volume and it doesn't play in the headphones

another issue is that the phones and speakers don't change automatic when plug in input jack non even when using voodoohda, that doesn't give proper sound but assigns 3 channels independently, i lerned when using traktor that i can have sound in speakers and phones at the same time in this program if i put one music to play in speakers--- master out and pfl/cue---monitor out send to headphones, and headphones when plugged speakers shut down, the problem with voodoo is that the sond doesn't stay in 44100 it changes and don't change chanels automatic

 

 

can i resolve this

Remove the Azalia kext, use VoodooHDA and set the ID of ALC audio in IOPCIPrimaryMatch http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=454

Can not run System Info.app on Mac OS X 10.8 (http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1627). JavaSE Runtime 7u7 is installed. But when I try to open System Info, it again asks for JavaSE 6 Runtime. When I try to open Java Control Panel, it throws me error "Java Control Panel quit unexpectedly while using the libjvm.dylib plug-in. I am not sure whether this is right place to post this issue or not.

maybe a suggestion, we submitting al the info and all the kext files right ?

maybe a download button wil be great so we don't need to look for kext files as they are stored in one place

would make thing more easy for some people

just like osx86 tools do back in the old days aka Leopart

Just exactly how does this tool work? I'm currently using it on Windows 7. I clicked on File > Check compatibility then File > Export devices. Does it want me to save something? Where? What extension? Does this activate hardware properly once in Mac OS?

no it's like the name say system info

gives u info about u system, to google for the right kext.

mac os x is for mac

hackmac os x is 99% of reading, googling, persistency and 1% of luck u hardware is compatible

if u want something to do u job... is not that
