http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=131 Installation Boot the HackBoot CD Remove the CD, insert Snow Leopard DVD, wait a few seconds and press F5, then select the DVD and press Enter. After booting the DVD and selecting your language, wait for the "Install Mac OS X" screen. Go to menu "Utilities --> Disk Utility”, select the HD you want to format and click the "Partition" tab. In the "Volume Scheme" combo, choose how many partitions you want. Below, in "Options", choose "GUID", then select "Mac Os Extended (Journaled)", click the apply button and wait. With this process done, close Disk Utility. Select the destination HD and go on with the installation. After the installation, boot using HackBoot again. The system is running but it needs HackBoot to start, so we have to install the boot loader (Chameleon), the essential kexts and the patched DSDT. Post installation 1- Copy the Extra folder to your boot partition Important: for versions 2.0 GM and 2.1 of Chameleon, the file com.apple.Boot.plist must be renamed to org.chameleon.Boot.plist 2- Install Chameleon (in Snow Leopard or EFI partition) 3- Run DSDT Auto-Patcher and copy the generated DSDT to the Extra folder 4- Update the system to 10.6.7 Restart using -v (boot verbose) Vanilla power management (SpeedStep) and Restart fix Use Chameleon Added in boot.plist <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> Realtek RTL81xx Driver http://lnx2mac.blogspot.com/p/realtekrtl81xx-osx-driver.html USB 3.0 Driver for Mac OS http://www.lacie.com/us/more/index.htm?id=10112 LegacyHda ALC8xxHDA.kext.zip AppleHda AppleHDA_10.6.2.kext.zip Voodoo Ps2 PS2.zip AppleHdaDisabler AppleHDADisabler.kext.zip In some motherboards the audio codec may change from one revision to another, so you can use this to apply the correct patch to your revision. Berlin31
Hi MaLd0n, i tried your installations guide except i used the iboot cd instead of the hack one. After i installed 10.6.7 update and restarted in verbose mode i got a kernal panic. So i rebooted with the iboot cd and it went thru. Then i used the multishit with the options klicked as seen in the attached files. Both combinations didn't work. Before a tried a fresh installation using the 10.6.8 update, but it paniced right before it went thru all the way. So i rebooted and ran the update again, and this time it went all the way. In another try using the iboot + multishit method ( see attachments too )i had the same problem with 10.6.8 comboupdate. But it worked after i ran the update a second time. But the boottime was really slow. So i used the -v to see where it hang and showed me something like LPC device initialization failed: C-state power management not initialized If i could solve this issue it would be really great. So if you have any conclusion how to fix these problems i would be very thankful. I used the autopatcher for all my tries My System specs are: Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 2500k ati 4870 512 mb Supertalent SSD 64 gb 4 gb ram 1333

Berlin31
thanks a lot for the quick response i used the iboot + multishit method and installed 10.6.8. the mistake i talked about in the last post does not show up anymore. thx again. but the booting still takes to much time and shows me no nvidia graphics adapter found seems weird to me, since i have an ati 4870 512 mb graphic card installed. do you have any advice

oldnapalm
If you have an ATI card, remove NVClockX, it's for nVidia only. It may not be the problem, but we never know.
