lnminh58 Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Hi all, I successfully install Catalina on my PC, CPU: I3 8100 Main: Z370 Pro4 GPU: RX570 But still has problem with boot time. In Mojave just take 15s for boot to system. I checked clover boot -v and found it stop here for over 10s https://i.imgur.com/tmwF1BQ.jpg' alt='IMGUR>'> Then I checked kernel log and found this. It take a lot of time here! 2019-10-12 18:42:24.276487+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (IONVMeFamily) <IONVMeFamily`IONVMeController::CreateSubmissionQueue(unsigned short, unsigned char)> virtual IOReturn IONVMeController::CreateSubmissionQueue(uint16_t, uint8_t)::2816:SQ index=1 entrysize=64 2019-10-12 18:42:24.283154+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (IONVMeFamily) <IONVMeFamily`IONVMeController::CreateSubmissionQueue(unsigned short, unsigned char)> virtual IOReturn IONVMeController::CreateSubmissionQueue(uint16_t, uint8_t)::2816:SQ index=1 entrysize=64 2019-10-12 18:42:24.290961+0700 localhost kernel[0]: PMRD: power event 7 args <private> 0x0 2019-10-12 18:42:24.290967+0700 localhost kernel[0]: PMRD: destroyed capability client set <private> 2019-10-12 18:42:24.290973+0700 localhost kernel[0]: PMRD: PowerChangeDone: ON_STATE->ON_STATE 2019-10-12 18:42:24.293640+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (IONVMeFamily) <IONVMeFamily`IONVMeController::CreateSubmissionQueue(unsigned short, unsigned char)> virtual IOReturn IONVMeController::CreateSubmissionQueue(uint16_t, uint8_t)::2816:SQ index=1 entrysize=64 2019-10-12 18:42:24.332472+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (kernel) SuperIODevice: found Nuvoton NCT6791D on port=0x2e address=0x290 2019-10-12 18:42:24.333408+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (apfs) <apfs`log_debug> apfs_module_start:1683: load: com.apple.filesystems.apfs, v1412.11.7, apfs-1412.11.7, 2019/09/26 2019-10-12 18:42:24.333543+0700 localhost kernel[0]: PMRD: power event 7 args <private> 0x0 2019-10-12 18:42:24.333547+0700 localhost kernel[0]: PMRD: destroyed capability client set <private> 2019-10-12 18:42:24.333554+0700 localhost kernel[0]: PMRD: PowerChangeDone: ON_STATE->ON_STATE 2019-10-12 18:42:24.360488+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (kernel) NCT677xSensors: started 2019-10-12 18:42:25.271136+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIEC) <AppleACPIEC`AppleACPIEC::waitForStatusChange(void*, unsigned long long*, bool*, ECStatusWaitType)> EC IBF=0 poll timed out 2019-10-12 18:42:25.406251+0700 localhost kernel[0]: PMRD: power event 7 args <private> 0x0 2019-10-12 18:42:25.406265+0700 localhost kernel[0]: PMRD: destroyed capability client set <private> 2019-10-12 18:42:25.406269+0700 localhost kernel[0]: PMRD: PowerChangeDone: ON_STATE->ON_STATE 2019-10-12 18:42:26.372174+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIEC) <AppleACPIEC`AppleACPIEC::waitForStatusChange(void*, unsigned long long*, bool*, ECStatusWaitType)> EC IBF=0 poll timed out 2019-10-12 18:42:27.473807+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIEC) <AppleACPIEC`AppleACPIEC::waitForStatusChange(void*, unsigned long long*, bool*, ECStatusWaitType)> EC IBF=0 poll timed out 2019-10-12 18:42:28.575764+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIEC) <AppleACPIEC`AppleACPIEC::waitForStatusChange(void*, unsigned long long*, bool*, ECStatusWaitType)> EC IBF=0 poll timed out 2019-10-12 18:42:29.675449+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIEC) <AppleACPIEC`AppleACPIEC::waitForStatusChange(void*, unsigned long long*, bool*, ECStatusWaitType)> EC IBF=0 poll timed out 2019-10-12 18:42:29.675458+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIEC) <AppleACPIEC`AppleACPIEC::start(IOService*)> ACPI: no ECDT 2019-10-12 18:42:35.183658+0700 localhost kernel[0]: (IOUSBFamily) <IOUSBFamily`AppleUSBLegacyRoot::init(OSDictionary*)> 000012.183655 AppleUSBLegacyRoot@(null): AppleUSBLegacyRoot::init: enabling legacy matching 2019-10-12 18:42:35.183873+0700 localhost kernel[0]: PMRD: PowerChangeDone: ON_STATE->ON_STATE 2019-10-12 18:42:35.183888+0700 localhost kernel[0]: PMRD: PowerChangeDone: ON_STATE->ON_STATE 2019-10-12 18:42:35.218118+0700 localhost kernel[0]: <compose failure [uUID]> 2019-10-12 18:42:35.226635+0700 localhost kernel[0]: MAC Framework successfully initialized Can anyone help me to resolve this problem?

lnminh58 Posted October 13, 2019 Author Posted October 13, 2019 Thank you once again. After remove device(ec) from DSDT. It boot quite fast. Because my system has no device EC so I think it don't make any problem. Should I need to inject one fake? Because "almost" feature worked. I has not found any function has error. So lucky I checked system log and compared between with and without this method, no new errror and found. Still has some error but i don't know how to fix that. Could you check for me and suggest some tutorials? I added system log file below system-log.txt
