What should I do next? Lenovo Laptop -- Vanilla Mojave

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi,

[lenovo V310]

[i7-7500U, Intel R620]

Mojave 10.14 EFI vanila;

What I have right now:

the vanila macos install with clover bootloader;

1. ELAN touchpad doesn't work at all.

2. Keyboard doesn't work.

(Using external USB keyboard and Mouse);

3. not all the system settings work.

4. Apple Store opens but closes immediately after.

5. audio doesn't work (Intel HD Audio)

When I type in terminal for example it doesn't show I have to click on it to show up.

==What Should I do? ===

what steps should I follow. in what order?

editing config.plist?

copying kext(what kext do I need?) to EFI folder.

patching DSDT (What and how)?

thanks

@MaLd0n;

Sorry For the delay ( I lost my credentials) and you were updating the forum. [nice job].

I really like your help on this, because I was reading these past few days. [confused]

a. DSDT patching (or any other method) for backlight keys to work.

b. DSDT patching (or any other method) for Battery to work ( battery indicator)

C. a fix for ELAN touchpad.( what kext to remove and from where?; then; what kext to install and where?)

the touchpad works as moving the pointer and also double tap as double click . no two finger tap as right click or edge scrolling.

==============

Putting **SmartTouchpad.kext** in kext folder inside the clover caused double tab as double click to de-active, just moving the mouse. ( but I hear that this kext has some configuration. What??? Where??)

here is my whole config and DSDT:

https://transfer.sh/8hLPJ/dsdt.zip

and this is the runme.app result:

@MaLd0n

No it doesn't;

There is the same problem I face before I switched to your latest Mojave Image.

either I would reach the Login page with Apple logo on it (transparent) that I can't do anything.

or I will get stuck on Apple logo with my mouse pointer on black background.

@MaLd0n

Simple

Either I can't reach the LogOn page {because the apple logo is setting on it. I see the **enter password** underneath the Apple logo. Aplle logo won't fade away completely.

OR I get stuck at apple logo on black background.

I did turnOFF and turnON my laptop several times.

@MaLd0n;

-- Question One:

What would cause this: "Apple logo won't fade completely and Desktop won't load and become clear completely"

the apple logo sit at the top of the desktop login page in a transparent sort of way."

--Question two:

As I could see in my numerous restarts ; The battery icon is at the top right of the screen and it show the battery is charging which is right."

How could I get the battery working? What did you doiwith the battery?

PS: thanks very much. your help was great.
