jcb.msr Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 (edited) Hi, [lenovo V310] [i7-7500U, Intel R620] Mojave 10.14 EFI vanila; What I have right now: the vanila macos install with clover bootloader; 1. ELAN touchpad doesn't work at all. 2. Keyboard doesn't work. (Using external USB keyboard and Mouse); 3. not all the system settings work. 4. Apple Store opens but closes immediately after. 5. audio doesn't work (Intel HD Audio) When I type in terminal for example it doesn't show I have to click on it to show up. ==What Should I do? === what steps should I follow. in what order? editing config.plist? copying kext(what kext do I need?) to EFI folder. patching DSDT (What and how)? thanks Edited April 24, 2019 by Guest

jcm.msr Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 @MaLd0n; Sorry For the delay ( I lost my credentials) and you were updating the forum. [nice job]. I really like your help on this, because I was reading these past few days. [confused] a. DSDT patching (or any other method) for backlight keys to work. b. DSDT patching (or any other method) for Battery to work ( battery indicator) C. a fix for ELAN touchpad.( what kext to remove and from where?; then; what kext to install and where?) the touchpad works as moving the pointer and also double tap as double click . no two finger tap as right click or edge scrolling. ============== Putting **SmartTouchpad.kext** in kext folder inside the clover caused double tab as double click to de-active, just moving the mouse. ( but I hear that this kext has some configuration. What??? Where??) here is my whole config and DSDT: https://transfer.sh/8hLPJ/dsdt.zip and this is the runme.app result: https://transfer.sh/BFOxX/jacob.zip I: Bus=0011 Vendor=0001 Product=0001 Version=ab83N: Name="AT Translated Set 2 keyboard" P: Phys=isa0060/serio0/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/platform/i8042/serio0/input/input0 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=sysrq kbd leds event0 B: PROP=0 B: EV=120013 B: KEY=402000000 3803078f800d001 feffffdfffefffff fffffffffffffffe B: MSC=10 B: LED=7 I: Bus=0019 Vendor=0000 Product=0003 Version=0000 N: Name="Sleep Button" P: Phys=PNP0C0E/button/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/LNXSYBUS:00/PNP0C0E:00/input/input2 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=kbd event1 B: PROP=0 B: EV=3 B: KEY=4000 0 0 I: Bus=0019 Vendor=0000 Product=0005 Version=0000 N: Name="Lid Switch" P: Phys=PNP0C0D/button/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/LNXSYBUS:00/PNP0C0D:00/input/input3 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=event2 B: PROP=0 B: EV=21 B: SW=1 I: Bus=0019 Vendor=0000 Product=0001 Version=0000 N: Name="Power Button" P: Phys=PNP0C0C/button/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/LNXSYBUS:00/PNP0C0C:00/input/input4 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=kbd event3 B: PROP=0 B: EV=3 B: KEY=10000000000000 0 I: Bus=0019 Vendor=0000 Product=0001 Version=0000 N: Name="Power Button" P: Phys=LNXPWRBN/button/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/LNXPWRBN:00/input/input5 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=kbd event4 B: PROP=0 B: EV=3 B: KEY=10000000000000 0 I: Bus=0019 Vendor=0000 Product=0000 Version=0000 N: Name="Ideapad extra buttons" P: Phys=ideapad/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.0/PNP0C09:00/VPC2004:00/input/input6 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=kbd rfkill event5 B: PROP=0 B: EV=13 B: KEY=81000800100c03 4400000000300000 0 2 B: MSC=10 I: Bus=0019 Vendor=0000 Product=0006 Version=0000 N: Name="Video Bus" P: Phys=LNXVIDEO/video/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/LNXSYBUS:00/PNP0A08:00/LNXVIDEO:00/input/input8 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=kbd event6 B: PROP=0 B: EV=3 B: KEY=3e000b00000000 0 0 0 I: Bus=0003 Vendor=5986 Product=0712 Version=5309 N: Name="EasyCamera: EasyCamera" P: Phys=usb-0000:00:14.0-9/button S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb1/1-9/1-9:1.0/input/input9 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=kbd event7 B: PROP=0 B: EV=3 B: KEY=100000 0 0 0 I: Bus=0011 Vendor=0002 Product=000e Version=0000 N: Name="ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad" P: Phys=isa0060/serio1/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input/input7 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=event8 mouse0 B: PROP=1 B: EV=b B: KEY=e420 30000 0 0 0 0 B: ABS=661800011000003 I: Bus=0001 Vendor=10ec Product=0236 Version=0001 N: Name="HDA Digital PCBeep" P: Phys=card0/codec#0/beep0 S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.3/sound/card0/input10 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=kbd event9 B: PROP=0 B: EV=40001 B: SND=6 I: Bus=0000 Vendor=0000 Product=0000 Version=0000 N: Name="HDA Intel PCH Mic" P: Phys=ALSA S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.3/sound/card0/input11 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=event10 B: PROP=0 B: EV=21 B: SW=10 I: Bus=0000 Vendor=0000 Product=0000 Version=0000 N: Name="HDA Intel PCH Headphone" P: Phys=ALSA S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.3/sound/card0/input12 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=event11 B: PROP=0 B: EV=21 B: SW=4 I: Bus=0000 Vendor=0000 Product=0000 Version=0000 N: Name="HDA Intel PCH HDMI/DP,pcm=3" P: Phys=ALSA S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.3/sound/card0/input13 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=event12 B: PROP=0 B: EV=21 B: SW=140 I: Bus=0000 Vendor=0000 Product=0000 Version=0000 N: Name="HDA Intel PCH HDMI/DP,pcm=7" P: Phys=ALSA S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.3/sound/card0/input14 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=event13 B: PROP=0 B: EV=21 B: SW=140 I: Bus=0000 Vendor=0000 Product=0000 Version=0000 N: Name="HDA Intel PCH HDMI/DP,pcm=8" P: Phys=ALSA S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.3/sound/card0/input15 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=event14 B: PROP=0 B: EV=21 B: SW=140 I: Bus=0000 Vendor=0000 Product=0000 Version=0000 N: Name="HDA Intel PCH HDMI/DP,pcm=9" P: Phys=ALSA S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.3/sound/card0/input16 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=event15 B: PROP=0 B: EV=21 B: SW=140 I: Bus=0000 Vendor=0000 Product=0000 Version=0000 N: Name="HDA Intel PCH HDMI/DP,pcm=10" P: Phys=ALSA S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.3/sound/card0/input17 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=event16 B: PROP=0 B: EV=21 B: SW=140

jcm.msr Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 (edited) @MaLd0n No it doesn't; There is the same problem I face before I switched to your latest Mojave Image. either I would reach the Login page with Apple logo on it (transparent) that I can't do anything. or I will get stuck on Apple logo with my mouse pointer on black background. https://transfer.sh/Yw1NV/P90503-012951.jpg Edited May 3, 2019 by Guest

jcm.msr Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 @MaLd0n Simple Either I can't reach the LogOn page {because the apple logo is setting on it. I see the **enter password** underneath the Apple logo. Aplle logo won't fade away completely. OR I get stuck at apple logo on black background. I did turnOFF and turnON my laptop several times.

jcm.msr Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 @MaLd0n; -- Question One: What would cause this: "Apple logo won't fade completely and Desktop won't load and become clear completely" the apple logo sit at the top of the desktop login page in a transparent sort of way." --Question two: As I could see in my numerous restarts ; The battery icon is at the top right of the screen and it show the battery is charging which is right." How could I get the battery working? What did you doiwith the battery? PS: thanks very much. your help was great.
