Razor Flash Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 Hello I get multiple random crashes with my OpenCore system Current setup: i5 9600K WD SN770 Gigabyte Z390M BCM94360CS2 RX 5700 XT 24GB - a mix of 2x4GB and 2x8GB Crucial 8GB DDR4, 2400MHz I am thinking 3 possible reasons: - wrong OpenCore config ( smbios 19,1 ) ? ssdts not valid ? - graphics card ( works great in windows ) , but I thinking of switching to RX 580 or Vega 64 - what do you think ? - cause I got in the past a green screen - BCM94360CS2 fault ? I am waiting for my BCM94360CD as the wifi is not working on my BCM94360CS2 a mix of them ? any clues? the crashes are sporadic, sometimes it works without crash for entire hours until I manually shut down to go to sleep configs: I attached my Config ( serial number deleted ) additionally to this config , I disabled AppleDebug, I copied OpenCore.efi, OpenRuntime.efi and BOOTx64.efi from official 0.9.1 RELEASE ( I think it used to use 0.8.8 DEBUG - link ) config-deleted-serial.plist.zip Screenshot 2023-05-05 at 12.59.18.zip

Razor Flash Posted May 13, 2023 Author Posted May 13, 2023 Hello I have done USBMap I used this tool https://github.com/corpnewt/USBMap and it generated the kext USBMap.kext for me now, bluetooth keyboard and magic trackpad and USB Ports work The bluetooth keyboard and magic trackpad work better since they work from the start and they do not need cold start I have some questions: 1. I am guessing it's ok is it ok that I removed USBInjectAll.kext , is it ok that I removed XHCI-unsupported.kext too from the setup @MaLd0n gave me ? 2. The internal map on my GB Z390-M shows only usb 2.0 for the internal BCM94360CS2, I guess that's ok right ? 3. My BCM94360CS2 only shows up bluetooth, no wifi working, I read it shorts somewhere on the metal screw or something for m2 adapter, but I would like to switch with BCM94360CD . Do I need to swap any config / acpi ? 4. My RX 5700 XT sometimes does a green screen . I hear it's a common issue. If I swap it with RX 6600 or RX 6600 XT, do I need any updates to the EFI @MaLd0n sent me ? Thanks!
Administrators MaLd0n Posted May 15, 2023 Administrators Posted May 15, 2023 1- Yes, remove and test. 2- BT use usb2 connection. 3- No. 4- No. But 5700 is a good card. Don't need change it.
