Monterey install stuck @ less than a minute remaining

Anyone know a solution to this dilemma ?

Trying to install on a WD Blue 1TB SATA 3 - drive . What do you think would the installation complete, if I’d try it on a M.2 SSD instead ?

I’m using a Kingston 128GB USB3 - Flash disk and I have tried USB2 as well as USB3 - ports .
