  1. I booted into recovery environment and used Disk Utility to restore my installed macOS Sequoia to a new SSD - drive . The new SSD - drive was connected via USB during the restoration . Disk Utility informed, that the restoration process was completed successfully ; Oh, well I thought ... but now as I ripped the former SATA - drive off and replaced it with the new cloned / SSD - drive I get no video signal . I can see the hard drive is being read and after a while the indicator led stops from flashing, this all proceeds in much less time, than with the former SATA - drive . I guess the OS (macOS Sequoia) is fully booted, but as stated no sign of life on my HDMI - connected LG-TV / display . I know it must be a software issue on the macOS - level, c'os both of my displays are working as I'm typing this on the same PC / Windows 10 . I'd really much appreciate it, if someone gave a helping "hand" here . / Toni .
  2. Hi... According to this page https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z390-A-PRO/Specification The motherboard has three display connector ports. At this point the Asus - monitor is connected to the VGA - port on the motherboard. I guess this is the fact, the VGA - connection is not working. Haven't yet tested the VGA - port on the GT710. What do you think could this fix the issue. I also went and ordered a Fujitec DVI to HDMI - adapter cable. What do you think about that? / Toni Sirkiä.
  3. Ok … The graphics card also has a dvi - port “on-board” Could that be any of a use, with an adapter cable of some kind, or something ? / Toni .
  4. Hi … A dual display system here . HDMI works just fine, but can’t get VGA - display to work . I have CSM selected in BIOS as advised . Graphics card MSI / nVIDIA GeForce GT710 . Is there a software work around or should I obtain a new graphics card ? / Toni .
  5. I already had CSM enabled / selected and Secure Boot was set to disabled . Still no signal on my Asus - display and not detected by the OS .
  6. This is in the BIOS, I assume ?!?
  7. OK ... I'm back on macOS Big Sur 11.7.11 . Got my MSI GT710 graphics card working, but how to get multiple displays working . I have a LG TV connected via HDMI, that's working just fine, but how to get my (primary) display Asus VT229H 21,5" Full HD - monitor functional ? It's connected via standard VGA . In the System Prefs / Displays there's only the LG TV displayed . Is it only possible to connect via HDMI, or ... ? / Toni .
  8. I just obtained a second hand ASUS STRIX R370 DC20C 2GD5 GAMING CARD . Would this one help any matters or does it even fit in the slot on my mainboard (MSI Z390 A-Pro) ? I could buy a AMD RX560 2GB for 15EURos ; Would that one make the graphics issues work out ? / Toni .
  9. Just curious if it’s possible to get my graphics card MSI GT710 fully working on Tahoe 26.3 ? I’d really need this feature in order to use my UAD and Waves audio - processing plugins . / Toni .
  10. I have a Asus nano as well as a TP Link usb - Wi-Fi dongles, that both worked on Sequoia by using a driver package for Big Sur obtained from GitHub . Now, as I’m on Tahoe 26.3 none of them seem to be working at all … and therefore I have no access to the net . Is there any of a chance to get them working on Tahoe ? Neither Asus or TP Link seem to provide any drivers for latest Mac OSs .
  11. Okay … Are there any options for under 50EURos in Graphic cards with full medal support, that would cope with forecoming macOS - releases / requirements ? / Toni .
  12. Okay, ... here's the dilemma . No matter, what I do I can't boot / start installation process from Balena Etcher flashed Olarila Mavericks.raw file . The usb - pendrive just isn't in the BIOS - boot options . I have tried copying OC SandyBridge EFI - files to the EFI - partition . Just ain't working . What's happening here, "that isn't" . / Toni .
  13. Hi ... I've tried flashing two USB - pendrives, with Olarila Sequoia using BalenaEtcher, which successfully flashed and valitadet . When I try and select to boot off from the disks, they just bounce once in the boot devices menu and nothing happens . 14. OK ... Try to keep it as simple, as I can ... Acer Aspire 7720Z - Laptop ; Mountain Lion installed on an external USB - hard-drive, because Disk Util's not detecting my internal SATA HDD (formatted as GPT, Mac OS X Extended) . When I installed the OS, the SATA drive was there, but I could not make any changes to it (I had to remove it from the laptop, and use an external SATA - USB enclosure / dock to format it) . Now, as Mountain Lion is installed on this external USB - drive I'd like to clone it to the internal drive, but the internal SATA - drive's nowhere to be found . Please HELP me OUT . (): / Toni .

  17. Curious to know, whether this laptop is suitable for hackintosh use at all . Not sure about the specific model, though ... I know the CPU is clocking at 1.5 GHz and on board there is 6 GBs of RAM . Graphics Card is an AMD Radeon, dunno something . I could go as far back as Yosemite or even Sno Leo . Just let me know, if it's possible with this legacy hardware . / T .
  18. Hi ... I have this ancient laptop, that I'd like to install a hackintosh OS on . The laptop is 64 Bit ready and it has 2GBs of RAM onboard, so bearing this in mind is it possible to install any version of macOS on this laptop . Could I install for example Snow Leopard on it, or would it be possible to install any of a more "modern" version of macOS on it ? / T .
  19. Ok ... Just to get my Avid Pro Tools (latest version) working I needed to upgrade from Big Sur to Ventura ; The operation went nice and smooth, but I lost my MSI GeForce GT710 Graphics . I knew this issue would happen as I've been in the same situation in the past . So, now I'd need some help in order to get my Graphics back ... I'm about to go to Sequoia ... So, if somebody has a workaround with this in mind . I know about AMFI, SIP and Open Core Legacy Patcher, but haven't had much of a luck with patching the Graphics / Kepler ?!? About This Mac.png.zip

My setup is : MSI Z390 A-PRO Intel i3 CPU 32 GB RAM nVIDIA / MSI GT 710

  22. Hi ... I have a working Ventura - install here . What is the possibility of losing my system, if I do a software update to Sonoma ? Will I lose my working MSI GT710 Graphics or such ? When I try to boot from a USB-stick I can't even get to the GUI-part of the setup . (): In add. I have only a few GBs free on my main / system drive . Is it possible to change the location, where the temporary software update / Sonoma - download / installer files are going to be saved / stored ? / Toni .
