Good News! vit9696 fixed this problems with RestrictEvents.kext

https://github.com/acidanthera/RestrictEvents/commit/2430ed06c15a9f3dd94634ab68e208c8b762e11d

Download RestrictEvents-1.0.5-RELEASE.zip

1- If you have a problem with Firmware warning just generate one full SMBIOS and select option AdviseFeatures. Check image below.

2- Many people report success with iMac17,1 smbios.

I try update Beta 6 to Beta 7 but system restart "IOPlatformHaltRestartAction --> AppleSMC" at this point.

I will try full SMBIOS settings.

If it helps anyone. The newest RestrictEvents kext release enables updates to be installed with any SMBios. so before installing beta 7/8 update or add restrictevents to config.plist

EDIT: Opencore 0.7.4 and marking advisefeatures to true is also mandatory

Hi Maldon, i am using Clover 5127, I have in Kexts folder RestrictedEvents.kext but, still stuck at Apple SMC as stated above. SMBIOS is 18.2 and now I tried 19.1 but did not work.. is there any work around for clover users? I don't know how to use OC boot loader

Thanks for your time
