  1. Ethernet shows "connected" but safari cannot open any page and terminal ping doesn't work. rtl8111 kext loads but ... no internet. mobo h170m, cpu i3-6100, nvidia GT710 kepler graphics, 10.14 beta 2. help?
  2. sleep=ok but wake=reboot. I sent you the files.
  3. Thank you Mald0n. If I insert a usb stick in the USB3 *before* I start the laptop, then it works. Could you help me with "wake from sleep" problem?
  4. Thank you. I sent you the send_me.zip file. Update: The JMicron sd card reader works. Please only check for the nec/renesas USB3 that doesn't work.
  5. PCI. JMicron JMB38X Standard SD Host Controller.
  6. Thank you Mald0n, the USB3 port is nec/renesas. What about the sd card reader?
  7. If I install Sierra on an i5-2540m HP Probook 4530s will the USB3 and SD Card Reader work?
  8. Pressed F4 in Clover and got one (1) DSDT.aml file and fifteen (15) SSDT*.aml files, all of them different in size. Disassembled them with iasl and got sixteen (16) new *.dsl files in total. All of these go through maciasl with no errors. How can I tell what patches need to be applied? Most patches appear to be for laptops, this is a desktop system (my profile), running 17F77 with the following issues: (a) it goes to sleep ok but when I press a key to wake it reboots, problem report says "Kernel Extensions in backtrace: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(519.19)" and (b) I would like to investigate if I can make it burn less than 55 watts at idle.
  9. Maybe I will, when I know more about macOS on laptops. Have you looked at the files I sent you?
  10. it's a Sandy Bridge i5-2540m with HD3000 graphics (in the HP Probook 4530s, if that is what you are asking).
  11. What a coincidence. I too have an i5 equipped HP Probook 4530s but I never thought it could be turned into a hackintosh. Run Windows 7 on it. Does your USB3 port and SD Card Reader work with macOS?
  12. Thank you. Did you get them?
  13. But the trick is to make it work on much lower cost hardware, like mine for example, or even lower, if possible
  14. Thank you Mald0n, I tried Clover Configurator too. Still no sound. Update: The system boots with no Clover BootArgs at all. I can mount EFI partition OK. For audio: the method I used for 10.13.3, 10.13.4, 10.13.5 does _not_ work with 10.14 (Lilu, AppleALC, HDEF/HDAS, Inject 2, ResetHDA). Graphics show _no_ transparency and are sometimes very slow. However the system appears quite fast and shuts down instantly, good.
  15. I can no longer mount the EFI partition with "diskutil mount /dev/disk0s1" there are no audio devices running (Realtek® ALC887-VD2 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC) graphics are too slow and choppy, screen fonts are, well.... not sure how to patch DSDT's
  16. I set FakeID=0x12345678 and it worked. I have now installed it on an apfs ssd. What should I do post-install?
  17. it is already unchecked. I have a good working 10.13.5 installation on the same hardware (mechanical hard disk, HFS+J). Could I copy some files from it to the 10.14 usb to help it get past this problem?
  18. Hello Mald0n, I tried with -x and it reboots very soon, probably some KP, it all happens too fast.
  19. mobo H170M-E D3, cpu i3-6100, graphics HD530. installer hangs at point shown in picture. updated clover to 4533. it still hangs at the same point.
  20. Thank you for clearing that up. Will try it soon and report back.
  21. I want to try this on my pc. After I burn the image to a usb stick and I want to update clover, should I backup any files from the EFI folder before I update clover and copy them back again after? Will the clover update overwrite or delete any of the original files in the image?
