1. Are you using Oalrila image? 2. Did you set bios for AHCI? 3. Have you wiped your HDD/SSD using disk utility to use GUID partition and format as HFS or apfs? -

[ref]ALiveVam[/ref], Let me know if it works for you. It will be great if you manage to get it working as I have the same card reader.

Maybe your download is corrupted.

[ref]Baptiste94[/ref], HSxx ports supports only USB 2.0 Speed. Without a working patch, your USB 3.0 speed (SSxx) ports is most likely not to be functional. This is an example how XHC device (USB ports) looks like in ioreg with a working PM Heart USB patch in 10.14. All HSxx and SSxx ports are enabled (21 ports) This is how XHC device looks like with broken patch in 10.14.1. See that there is only one SSPx/ no SSxx ports enabled (15 ports; this is expected as per Apple's design) So, to answer your question what will happen if you only remove HSxx devices? USB 2.0 devices may not work.

Kext utility will install your kext to SLE and rebuild caches and permissions. -
1.Boot macOS drive using bootable USB stick 2.Open Clover Configurator 3.Select Mount EFI on left column 4.Click Mount Partition for the drive macOS and Windows is installed on 5.Click Open Partition 6.Navigate to EFI/Microsoft/Boot/ 7.Rename bootmgfw.efi to bootmgfw-orig.efi 8.Restart and Windows should be an available boot device option Edit : You can also read how I did dualboot here https://www.Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=6656. Scroll down to How to Dual-boot (Bios is set to UEFI mode) in first post.

Mojave Update I wasn't planning to upgrade this laptop to Mojave. Well, not anytime soon anyway. But, installing Mojave on an external HD is close enough to see if anything will break due to the upgrade. Looks like its pretty much the same except for update of kext for I2c trackpad. Beyond that, airdrop does not seem to work well. But, I did not spend too much time troubleshooting anyway.

Yes, you can. But do keep updated of the latest development in kexts, clover etc before updating or keep a copy of your bootable usb and/or clone drive in hand. If anything goes wrong, you are still able to return back to previous version by disk cloning.

maybe you would like to share what was done wrong for other readers to take lesson from Edit: I see you edit out your earlier post. So i gathered you had made a small error in not activating that one port causing your hub to only able to detect usb 2.0 devices only. Added in 17 minutes 27 seconds: Is it a problem to only one port or all the ports?
