Greetings, Been using an HP Z230 with Maldon's DSDT patch for the last few weeks. All works well, except for some reason, on fresh boot, the system will just shutdown/restart. After that, it's fine.. even for days in sleep mode. Only on cold boot does it shut down after 30 minutes. I have attached a pic of the reboot details. Greetings Maldon.. I've used the appropriate EFI for this configuration, and all seems to be running (sort of) well. "About This" displays as an 8950, but the GPU is a 7950. Excuse my inexperience... When I use hackintool to patch EDID, I’m doing in HEX then entering it into CC under Kexts To Patch. It is still booting to a black screen. Am I doing something incorrectly? Thanks a lot.

thank you! It boots, but to only 5meg HD. I notice that the boot arg "-igfxvesa" is still there. Is that intentional, and would it prevent correct graphics even if I patched EDID?

Thank you, Maldon. It opened another 4 ports.. It's still not showing up as USB3.0, but I'll work with that. Do you have a suggestion as to what USB3.0 card I can purchase. Once again, thank you very much for your time and efforts. Steve

None of the blue USB ports are functional and USB3.0 is not listed in System Information. The 2 black ports on the front and 2 black ports in the rear (upper) are functional. I also tried with disabling AsMedia USB3 controller in bios, no change. Thanks for your efforts here, Maldon. Appreciate it.

Good morning! Tried with Mojave (same EFI) with this result. IMG_5467.zip

Tried numerous bios settings, including bios update. Still freezes at the ethernet connection. I've blocked usb, and ethernet, even SuperI/O. Same freeze.

Same freeze, sorry. So weird, I never have issues to this extent. Wondering if i'm missing something in the bios.
