Olha no CD que você usa para instalar, ele tem kernel modificado? Funciona usando kernel vanilla? Você tem que testar, eu não tenho esse CPU. Acho que precisa kernel legacy até 10.6.7 e no 10.6.8 tem suporte nativo. Postei o link do kernel legacy para 10.6.3 na resposta anterior, é um pkg, só instalar. Digita o nome do kernel junto com as opções, para alternar entre vanilla e legacy, por exemplo mach_kernel -v legacy_kernel -v GraphicsEnabler=No

Atualiza e instala o kernel legacy antes de reiniciar. Depois pode tentar boot com mach_kernel para ver se o legacy era mesmo necessário.
