Isso não é verdade. A kext NullCPUPowerManagement apenas desabilita a kext AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement (responsável pelo gerenciamento de energia), não é o mesmo que fazer os ajustes na DSDT e SSDT ou configurar o boot loader para ter gerenciamento de energia ativo.

10.8 uses different partition scheme (MBR instead of GPT).

You better fix that first. Many things don't work in safe mode.
