  1. Any 10th gen Intel CPU will be fine.
  2. Hi, I've tried a number of laptops and here is my advice. Stay away from AMD Rysen CPU based laptops. The integrated Vega graphics is not supported in macOS. Pick any 10th gen Intel CPU - i3, i5, i7 or i9 with UHD 620 or UHD 630 graphics. It's better if you can find one without additional AMD or NVIDIA GPU, which you'll have to disable as they are not supported by macOS. 11th gen and up Intel CPUs are not supported by macOS. Don't get Dell XPS 15 9500 as it has a broken S3 sleep support in the BIOS. The 17 inch XPS models are reported to be working but be careful. I recently tried a Lenovo laptop with 4K display, but I was not able to make graphics work with full acceleration on the laptop display. So, again be careful with 4K laptops. I suggest getting an HP or ASUS laptop as they seem to work well with macOS. Good luck!
  3. Keep in mind that S3 sleep is broken with this Dell XPS 9500. It works great with macOS, but the laptop never goes to sleep. If it goes to sleep it does not wake up properly. It gets stuck on the Dell logo and you ill have to power off the laptop and boot again. I though I'd share my experience with this laptop model. I tried a lot of things to make it work, but Dell has decided to not support S3 sleep on BIOS level. Maybe they will fix it in the future, but it has been almost 2 years now since this issue has been reported an they haven't done anything about it. Best of luck.
  4. Thanks MaLd0n. I used the new DSDT. Do I have to do anything else?
  5. Catalina 10.15.7 Opencore 0.7.6 Attaching current config.plist and IOreg. config.plist.zip IOReg.zip
  6. I generated the SSDT for power management and when I use it I get a boot loop. Any idea what's causing it?
  7. Hi MaLd0n, Thanks for the patched DSDT. I used it, but it gets stuck at ApplePS2Controler (check the screenshot). Can I use Piker-Alpha's ssdtPRGen.sh (https://github.com/Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.sh) script to generate the SSDT? Best regards. IMG_20211201_075805.jpg.zip

  9. What is the name of this app (check attached file)and where can I download it? Best regards. AZP0AlV.zip
  10. Hi [ref]MaLd0n[/ref], I think I made a mistake when extracting the DSDT table. I extracted it without the Optimus option checked in the BIOS. I have made another extract, this time the Optimus option was checked in the BIOS and in Clover shows the two graphics adapters. I am attaching the hopefully correct DSDT table this time. 11. What do you suggest? Use DSDT and config.plist that you sent me and try with fakegfx or -x?
  12. Hi [ref]MaLd0n[/ref], Updating to the last Clover version did not help. I was able to make it boot with a different config.plist and DSDT. I have extracted original DSDT. Please check the current EFI for the USB installer. Chipset: Sandy Bridge CPU: Mobile DualCore Intel Core i5-2540M, 3100 MHz RAM: 16GB DDR3 Video: Optimus - Intel HD3000, NVIDIA NVS 4200M (512 MB) Best regards. EFI.zip
  13. Yes, it is Optimus. I tried the -wegnoegpu booting but it is still stuck. Check the screenshot. Screenshot.jpg.zip
  14. Tried external monitor on the HDMI - still stuck on the same place. Does it try to use the Intel HD or NVIDIA graphics? Can we use Intel HD only?
  15. Better, but it gets stuck. Check the screenshot. Screenshot.jpg.zip
  16. Hi [ref]MaLd0n[/ref], Just started a new project - trying to install High Sierra on DELL Latitude E6420. Here are the specs: Chipset: Sandy Bridge CPU: Mobile DualCore Intel Core i5-2540M, 3100 MHz RAM: 16GB DDR3 Video: Intel HD3000, NVIDIA NVS 4200M (512 MB) After creating the Olarila High Sierra USB installer and trying to boot with config2.plist (as per the guide for notebooks) i get a kernel panic. See the screenshots. What can be the problem? Can you please help. Djuby Screenshots.zip
  17. Great . Works perfect when I disable usbinjectall.kext. Now I guess I should remove the kext, right?
  18. OK. You said that in my DSDT USB looks native. How do I get rid of the usbinjectall? Just disable it in the config.plist? Edit: I just tried with USB2 stick and it works on all USB ports without any issues. Just the USB3 stick causes the issue. I hope that helps to narrow what the problem is.
  19. Then why do I get the error "USB Accessory Needs Power. Connect 'DataTraveler 3.0' to a USB port on this Mac" when I try to use the flash drive in any USB port?
  20. Sure. I did that and got the RHUB device with all USB ports in it. Do I just change the name of the USB ports from HS01 to HSP1 and for the rest of the ports as well as it is shown in the guide? Screen Shot 2019-11-02 at 7.18.15 PM.zip
