  1. OK ... Try to keep it as simple, as I can ... Acer Aspire 7720Z - Laptop ; Mountain Lion installed on an external USB - hard-drive, because Disk Util's not detecting my internal SATA HDD (formatted as GPT, Mac OS X Extended) . When I installed the OS, the SATA drive was there, but I could not make any changes to it (I had to remove it from the laptop, and use an external SATA - USB enclosure / dock to format it) . Now, as Mountain Lion is installed on this external USB - drive I'd like to clone it to the internal drive, but the internal SATA - drive's nowhere to be found . Please HELP me OUT . (): / Toni .
  2. Hi ... Exactly, what to do ? As stated I boot of a Sonoma USB - Disk . Should I make those changes (bootloader, kexts) on it, or the system drive and what kexts ?

  4. Curious to know, whether this laptop is suitable for hackintosh use at all . Not sure about the specific model, though ... I know the CPU is clocking at 1.5 GHz and on board there is 6 GBs of RAM . Graphics Card is an AMD Radeon, dunno something . I could go as far back as Yosemite or even Sno Leo . Just let me know, if it's possible with this legacy hardware . / T .
  5. Hi ... I have this ancient laptop, that I'd like to install a hackintosh OS on . The laptop is 64 Bit ready and it has 2GBs of RAM onboard, so bearing this in mind is it possible to install any version of macOS on this laptop . Could I install for example Snow Leopard on it, or would it be possible to install any of a more "modern" version of macOS on it ? / T .
  6. Ok ... Just to get my Avid Pro Tools (latest version) working I needed to upgrade from Big Sur to Ventura ; The operation went nice and smooth, but I lost my MSI GeForce GT710 Graphics . I knew this issue would happen as I've been in the same situation in the past . So, now I'd need some help in order to get my Graphics back ... I'm about to go to Sequoia ... So, if somebody has a workaround with this in mind . I know about AMFI, SIP and Open Core Legacy Patcher, but haven't had much of a luck with patching the Graphics / Kepler ?!? About This Mac.png.zip
  7. Anyone willing to help me in order to get my nVIDIA GT 710 working on Sequoia 15.2 . Is there something else to be done in add to injecting the correct boot args to the config.plist - file ? The OS is working quite well, but I need full graphics to get my Waves plugins working ; at the moment they don’t display the GUIs at all . My setup is : MSI Z390 A-PRO Intel i3 CPU 32 GB RAM nVIDIA / MSI GT 710
  8. Hi ... I almost got it made ; REAPER / LUNA open, but I get no input signal, metronome is working, etc. but no sound input . No sign of these apps in System Prefs / Microphone . I've tried running tcutil Microphone Reset and booted to Recovery Mode / run csrutil enable after which I lose my display ; Boots to no video signal so I have to keep SIP disabled for my MSI GT710 to work .
  9. Hi ... I have a working Ventura - install here . What is the possibility of losing my system, if I do a software update to Sonoma ? Will I lose my working MSI GT710 Graphics or such ? When I try to boot from a USB-stick I can't even get to the GUI-part of the setup . (): In add. I have only a few GBs free on my main / system drive . Is it possible to change the location, where the temporary software update / Sonoma - download / installer files are going to be saved / stored ? / Toni .
  10. I have compatible version of OCLP now open ; When I go to Post-Install Menu it says, Available patches : Nvidia Kepler Cannot patch due to the following reasons : SIP is enabled (Required :0x803 or higher) Currently Booted SIP : (0x67) AMFI is enabled . How I can pass this ? / T .

  13. Hi ... I get to the initial set up screen, but when I go to Utils / Disk Utility there's no trace of my internal SATA-drive . I've tried selecting between both SATA - modes (AHCI / IDE) in BIOS ; I've tried two SATA - drives one is a FUJITSU 160GB and the other one is a Seagate 250GB . Both of the drives are formatted / blank and in GPT - format . Something's strange here . HELP ME OUT !!!
