  1. Hey there. First of all, great job on running BigSur on this. I have recently purchased one too, but with an i7 10700T processor included. I was planning on getting Ventura or even Sonoma. Given our processor variant, is there anything that would I need to change from your EFI to make it work with my i7 variant? Apart from that, I believe Ventura requires some specific changes from BigSur, but I can't remember which ones (I have already made them on two other devices I own [SP4 and Acer NITRO 5] and no longer have the BigSur EFIs. Would you be willing to shed some light on this issue? Thank you in advance. Best regards, Bruno.
  2. Came too late to post this, seeing as I was testing it out and getting stuck in OCLP, while trying to apply Root Patches. The link to that specific version of OCLP (0.6.9) doesn't seem to work, at least for me. I used the 0.6.8 version. So, I'm posting the exact same as this, but everything put together for ease of use and without the annyoing "greyed out and unclickable" Root Patches in OCLP, should you wish it. https://github.com/billabongbruno/macOS-Sonoma-Broadcom-Wifi
  3. Hey there. Thank you for your kind words. You are welcome and I hope I could shed some light on the matter, so that you fixed (or worked around) the issue. Best regards, Bruno.
  4. Hey everyone. So, yesterday, I came across a black screen after updating from Ventura 13.3.1(a) to Ventura 13.4 while having all the latest Kexts and using OpenCore 0.9.2 and still my Intel UHD 630 produced a black screen right after the Apple logo, which I suspected had something to do with the Backlight Registers Fix (-igfxblr and igfxonln=1 in boot-args), seeing as my platform is Coffee Lake and requires these arguments in order to function properly. I could only get the screen working by adding -igfxvesa to boot-args, thus resulting in loss of graphical acceleration, which was expected, but less than desirable. Upon further investigation, I understood that the issue is not with WhateverGreen, OpenCore or my setup. It is with Ventura 13.4 itself. The 13.4 update broke, among other things, the Backlight Registers Fix (needed for CFL). That being said, we are faced with ONE fix (came across it on June 3rd) and TWO possible workarounds (which had been previously posted): 1 - FIX: CASE 1 (If you use Backlight Smoother): Ensure that the following arguments are present in your boot-args: -igfxblr -igfxbls -igfxbrs igfxonln=1 2 - FIX: CASE 2 (If you don't use Backlight Smoother): Ensure that the following arguments are present in your boot-args: -igfxblr -igfxbls -igfxbrs igfxonln=1 3 - WORKAROUND: Reinstall / Remain in Ventura up to (and including) 13.3.1(a) 4 - WORKAROUND: Enroll in the Apple Beta Program and update from 13.3.1(a) directly to 13.5b NOTES: 1 - For fixing the issue in Ventura 13.4, all that is required to do is to compile the newest version of WhateverGreen.kext (in order ensure the new PR is included) and then add the newly created argument "-igfxbrs" to boot-args, as shown above. 2 - Ventura 13.5b does NOT break Backlight Register Fix and as such, we can enjoy the iGPU acceleration as expected. Furthermore, it does not require the "-igfxbrs" argument to be present in boot-args to function properly. 5. Oh, that's Ok. I just assumed you were gonna install fresh, which is what I did. lol You're welcome, then. Enjoy your newly all-functional Hackintosh.
  6. Ok, no worries. You're welcome. Also, I need to point out that I only mentioned what I used so you'd know exactly what I did. Remember, use the Vanilla pre-made from here and replace the EFI folder from within the .raw image (or convert it to .img, which is what I did). I was merely trying to explain my procedure. Don't use the EFI that comes inside the .raw BigSur image here. You need to replace it using whatever tools you prefer. I used PowerISO. I converted to img first and then opened the image again with PowerISO and replaced the EFI folder (in the EFI partition of the .img) and saved it. Then flashed to a USB 3.0 flash drive using Balena Etcher. NOTE: I could have edited the .raw directly, but there is a small bug in PowerISO when it comes to .raw that implies you open the drop-down menu of the partitions and click on the other one before you can edit anything on the EFI partition of the .raw. And also, you can't delete the EFI folder or the BOOT folder alltogether without first renaming them or PowerISO will crash. So, to avoid doing those workarounds, I converted to .img first and from there I replaced what I wanted. You can also flash the .raw as it is with BalenaEtcher and once it's done, remove and reinsert the USB on your PC and use both MiniTool Partition Wizard and Explorer++ to show your USB EFI partition and move files in and out (with Explorer++). Cheers.
  7. That seems weird. Are you sure you edited the config.plist or did you just went ahead and used that one as was? Anyway, I can share my work, no worries. I need to drop a link to the uploaded file on my GoogleDrive, because it's too big to upload here. I've added a password, just to make sure it's not deleted by Google. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lKfEgnnOvd6T_S1ogjj9BCPlFoHSbf1Y/view?usp=sharing The password (which is also included in the filename itself) is: 12345 I should point out that I used the Vanilla Pre-Made Image from Olarila itself and just replaced the EFI folder on the .raw image. BigSur 11.3 https://www.olarila.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=35258 Maybe this can help you. https://github.com/SaeedHaidar/Nitro-5-an517-51-Hackintosh Good luck.
  8. I did. I used this repo (https://github.com/nerdynikhil/Acer-Nitro-5-AN515-52-593F-OpenCore-Hackintosh/tree/main/EFI) as base and then changed a few things on the config.plist. Namely: SecureBootModel to Disabled Vault to Optional I changed a few more things to my liking and updated a few kexts (not all, because some will break it), but these were minor tweaks and you should go from here. If it boots, I can share what else I did / updated with you. No worries regarding your English, I'm Portuguese. Soy tu hermano. The changes I did were to make it work with Big Sur. Also, after you're done installing, you should disable both Gatekeeper and SIP, which is something I did. I can tell you how, if you are able to boot with Wifi without Heliport. I just reinstalled it again and it's working perfectly.
  9. Greetings. First of all, I would like to thank you for this. Second of all, my apologies, because I haven't been around for a while to check messages. Third of all, I might have some great news for you. Using trial and error and another source, I was able to get my EFI folder just right under Big Sur. Even with the touchpad set to advanced and also not needing Heliport. If you want, I can share it with you. Only issue I seem to find is that, once the Hackintosh goes to sleep, it takes a while before it picks up on Wifi and Bluetooth again (this doesn't happen all the time, it's very random).
  10. Hey. I'm also trying to get this to work on BigSur, but I don't seem to be able to, even following the guide. I have the exact same variant and hardware configuration as you. Would you mind terribly sharing both your install EFI folder and your final EFI folder? I would be very grateful. Also, congratulations on your work.
