  1. I have tried but it didn’t worked. Am sure am doing something wrong. If it’s possible than can I share you my OC and you try to fix fn hot keys using AsusSMC kext? I have Asus Rog Strix GL753VD. Am trying to fix it myself from days but can’t get it working. The kext guide has installation instructions but it says we need patched dsdt. And yes, I don’t have ALS (ambient light sensor) in my device.
  2. Okay. Also, after applying the patches, I have to save the dsdt file as .aml and paste it under my opencore ACPI folder and snapshot using propertree and check if the it’s working or not right?
  3. Thanks! So I should not try to fix the fn hot keys using AsusSMC kext?
  4. I have made hackintosh OpenCore for Asus rog strix gl753vd.I have made mostly all things working, but only one thing was not working, which is fn hot keys. So, there was a kext called AsusSMC, which allows fixing the fn hot keys. But the installation guide for the kext says that we need to patch the dsdt. when i try to patch the dsdt dumped from opencore acpidump.efi in maciasl app, then it shows the exact same error as in the screenshot I attached. Even directly trying to compile system dsdt in maciasl app gives those same errors. I tried to research about this errors but could not find any proper solution. Your help will be really appreciated.
  5. Okay, I got it

  8. So, it’s my internal ssd itself not compatible? Not any software or usb issue?
  9. I have a lenovo legion 5 i5imh05h and I have a made offline usb installer in windows 11 of ventura olarila image and after flashing done, I places my EFI in it, then I booted the installer and clicked Disk Utility, then I selected my partition of my main internal ssd and format it in APFS, but in the formatting/erasing process, it gets stuck in about last process or in last process and restarts my laptop, was able to erase it of partition made by a hdd drive but not in main ssd drive, also can erase it in macos extended journaled but not in APFS in ssd partition, tried from big sur too Also, I have tried 2 different usb but they r both usb 3 and above, do u recommend me trying a usb 2 usb? I have attached my config.plist file if it helps config.zip
  10. First thing is that, are you getting black screen after pressing the F2 key to enter the bios? Also, how did you fixed this issue? I just want to boot my bios once and once I get it working even for temporary, I will flash it with new bios
  11. So, basically I was wondering if I can install hackintosh monterey on my Asus Rog Strix GL753VD model and I found a opencore efi on github with same laptop model. Then I downloaded a macos 12 dmg and flashed in my 2.0 sandisk cruzer usb using Balena Etcher in windows 10. After flash, I replaced the EFI with the github one and I removed SuperIO kext becoz it’s stucking when I tried to boot the monterey installer, after removing superio kext, I was able to boot the macos installer, after that I selected my 150gb hdd partition and formatted as APFS and continued and installation went good, after just installation i again booted bios and went to 2nd installation which taken 29 minutes, after that, 3rd time booting it showed my some verbose booting then rebooted, now at 4th time, it showed my the ‘Macos Monterey’ disk instead of ‘installer’ so I thought that this time it will boot, but when I booted then same happened, some verbose boot then rebooted again, i assument it’s maybe normal, then, after that when I tried to 5th time booting, I can’t get even open up the bios, when I boot my laptop and press F2 key then after asus logo gone it shows me black screen instead of bios settings screen, I thought that I damaged the bios, I rebooted again and let it boot normally to windows 10 and it booted the windows 10 fine, after that tried too much to boot to bios but as soon as I click F2 key and the asus logo gone, it shows me black screen always. I dunno what to do as I can’t even flash the bios back becoz I can’t even access it, I tried to google and seen that we can reset the bios by opening the laptop back panel and resetting CMOS by buttom or a watch-type cell, I dunno how to do it as all laptops have different CMOS resetting options.Pls help guyz
