Thanks I am still working on audio ,I get the right info on system settings but no audio. With the layout.xml ,I have a resource folder and lilu4all folder .Which one of these do I use and do I put the folder in EFI folder? Ok I tried the voodoo and the other audio solution still a no go .What am i doing wrong ? Thanks OK so I tried voodoohda ,no sound. This morning I have sound ,while I did put back applealc in EFI ,I do not know why I have sound but happy I do.Where can I see which kext or program is giving me sound. I also have a Monterey drive with sound also, which in reality I should not because of the changed they made in tahoe.

Hello ,I finally was able to get Tahoe installed. Just a question ,I had to change the smbios from a model 19,1 to a 20,1 Imac . This was the only way ,the 19,1 was too oldanf Tahoe gave an error each time installing. Is the 20,1 ok for my i3-8100 cpu with z370 Msi board? Thanks

Hi I tried with the usbportmapping still that same error with the circle and line through it. Would I need to change the model number? Looks to be a USBmapping issue ,can anyone help with that . If anyone is getting that error at boot ,USBmapping is the problem.

Anyone getting support.apple.com/startup error with a big circle and a line through it. My machine reverted back to sequoia, cannot upgrade to Tahoe because of that error? It also kept the mac installer option at boot menu ,how can i get rid of that? Thks

Got it working ,I just need to update kexts ,bootloader and usb and play with sound. Only boots with usb installer ,think it has something to do with windows partition. Thanks

Hi , I am looking to test Tahoe but away from my main OS Sequoia. I would like to partition my windows and install Tahoe for testing on the new partition. Do I need to add my present EFI to my usb installer or can I just install Tahoe and the present EFI which is working for all drives will do its work? Can i boot into windows without problems later on? thanks

Hi I have Windows /Mac on separate hard drives each and would like to install Fydeos on another separate hard drive . Fydeos is a mix of Android /LInux .will this screw up my EFI for Mac/Windows? Thanks

Hi I have installed a new hard drive for Sequoia,all is installed fine for the os. I have the old hard drive with Monterey for testing purposes ,which was the old drive from Sequoia with the EFI. Monterey does not go past 0.8.8 for the opencore OCAT. Sequoia is at 1.3.0 for opencore OCAT. I use the Sequoia to update the configlist from that EFI on the Monterey drive. My question is can the EFI folder stay on the drive that MOnterey is installed on ,or do I need to switch it over to Sequoia drive? How is that done ? Thanks

Hi I did a new install of Sequoia on my 1TB ,I would like to erase the 500gb and put something else. What i see though is the EFI folder is on the 500 gb drive and I would like it on the 1TB drive but the 1 TB drive cannot be mounted,is there a fix please? Thanks

Hi I have a nvme drive of 1TB and a ssd 500GB drive with Sequoia .I would like to transfer the 500Gb to the 1TB nvme drive using all of the 1TB for Sequoia. Is it better to install fresh and transfer files with migration or clone the 500GB to the 1TB? Thks

Ok Thanks for the help ,I injected the kext and added the arg to nvram .All is working do i need to reset nvram at bootup anyways?
