In case it is the OC one is there any way to transform to a normal version? Like reflashing the bios or something like that
-
I'll try reflahing the bios with the bios of saphire model is that a good idea? @MaLd0n does affect to macOS that the gpu is the OC model? Since I dont know exactly if mine is the OC one I'll connect it in my main PC and check the frequencies to see which model is

Hi, I'm trying to install macOS Monterey on my pc and when I try to boot the installer this error appears: OC: Plist Kext\RestrictEvents.kext\Contents\Info.plist is missing for injected kext RestrictEvents.kext I tried reseting the nvram, doing an OC Clean Snapshot in ProperTree, I tried using many EFI folders that I found doing researching without result. Obviously I tried the Olarila premade EFI for my hardware and also I made my own EFI but nothing works. Just in case I did all this using Windows 10 These are my specs: Dell Optiplex 990 CPU: i7-2600 RAM: 16 GB DDR3 GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 710 SSD: Sata 128 GB Thanks in advance Here is my EFI folder: https://easyupload.io/1vbhsl

Hi guys, I recently got a radeon r7 260x from an old computer. The problem is that I saw in dortania buyers guide that this GPU is natively supported up to macOS Monterey so I did a clean install but there is no graphics acceleration, obviously I have whatevergreen and lilu kexts installer in ESP/EFI/OC/Kexts and added to the config.plis file. Hope someone could help me. Thanks in advance.

Fixed, I switched to legacy boot and did all the necessary changes to the EFI folder to make it work. Now it is running monterey very well

Hi, I've recentrly found an old Optiplex 990 with an i7 2700 and I would like to install big sur or monterey if it is possible to this machine, obviously with a dedicated gpu I bought. The problem is that when I made the usb installer with the EFI folder, the PC does not recognise the drive in the UEFI boot mode although it does in legacy mode but it does not work in that mode. I made the installer many times and trying other vanilla images and USBs I even tried a SSD with macOS preinstalled alredy but it does not recognise it. It only works with Windows drives. Please help me.

Are there any kind of patch for nvidia kepler gpus?
-
Hi, I have a doubt about the usb mapping. When I mapped all the ports and they are working as expected, do I have to remap them again when I do a clean install of another version of macOS? For example if I'm using monterey with ports mapped but i do a clean install of ventura erasing the ssd.

So there is no way to fix that problem with my current gpu right?

Hi, I've installed macOS Ventura 13.3.1 on my pc a week ago, but I've noted today that when I record my screen with Quicktime Player, in the video appear some strange rectangles and squares moving. To make my GPU work I used OC Legacy Patcher to apply Nvidia GPUs Kepler patch. There is attached a video. My specs: i3 - 6100 GT 710 1GB MSI B150M Mortar Thanks in advance and sorry if my english is not very good. Screen recording.mov.zip

WiFi adapter for Big Sur
ru379 replied to ru379's topic in Buying Thoughts, Reviews, and Recommendations
Many thanks -
Hi, I have installed succesfully macOS Big Sur on my PC although I don't have acces to an ethernet cable in my room so I need a wifi adapter (doesn't matter if it is PCIe or USB), so which is the most economic WiFi adapter to buy? If it is possible it would be great if it is detected as a native WiFi adapter by macOS, doesn't matter if needs some patches to make it work with airport. Thanks in advance
