Hi, I'm having problems to get my resolution frame rate correct.

I have a Samsung C32JG56 monitor (link to the monitor) and I'm not able to get it working on 1440p 144Hz via HDMI.

I also have a HP OMEN 25" monitor which reaches 1080p 144Hz (but I can't see more than 120Hz in OS X).

I checked I have a HDMI 2.0 cable, I can switch the HDMI between monitors and I always get this result.

Can you help me to get a higher frame rate on the C32JG5? 120Hz like the OMEN would be enough for me.

Here is my Run me in case it's necessary:

Also my hackintosh build:

Thank you for your help and support!!

cdfon bootarg for hdmi patches

I used the boot arg and the resolutions and the Hz appeared.

Then I choose the 1440p 144Hz and the screen turn on in a black screen loop. I can't undo it, not even restarting.

I modified the boot args from clover options and I can boot, but without the properly resolutions and Hz.

If I put the -cdfon boot arg, black screen loop appears again.

How can I change it to other resolution? Can't boot properly to the screen. Seems like the settings got saved and I can't change them (because I can't get image, just black screens).

Please help.

I've tried some approaches:

First I've removed the boot arg and the DisplayVendorID folder from

/System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides/

After that, with boot arg removed, I tried the configs with HiDi and I could see how the monitor icon changed, but nothing about Hz.

When I activate again -cdfon bootflag with the Display Icon option 5 with  (Pro Display XDR)  and the Resolution config option 6 (Manual input resolution) I can see the Hz selector, but when I change it to 144Hz same blackscreen loop again.

I have to notice I configured the HP OMEN additional monitor with all the options of HiDi just fine. When I have disabled the boot arg I can put it on 120Hz, and with the boot arg I can put it on 144Hz with no problem.

Any clues?

Thanks!

Hi MaLd0n, I've been researching a lot about this problem and I found something which may be related:

https://github.com/acidanthera/WhateverGreen/blob/master/Manual/FAQ.IntelHD.en.md#fix-the-infinite-loop-on-establishing-intel-hdmi-connections-with-a-higher-pixel-clock-rate-on-skl-kbl-and-cfl-platforms

The thing is that I can't make it work, I apply the boot arg flag and still have the same problem.

Do you know if this problem could be related with -cdfon boot arg? That's the argument I'm using to unlock Hz selector menu.
