Headlands Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 (edited) Hi all, Have a lil' mercy on me, I'm brand new to the Hackintosh world and am going to try to transform a new custom built PC that has an ASUS X299 and i9 10920x, 128gigs RAM, for music (how I make my living). I tried Windows because of the comedic pricing of new Mac Pros, and really don't like it. It currently has an NVIDIA GT-710 GPU, which I can change out if need be. Also has an Intel WIFI/bluetooth PCIe card. I need step-by-step instructions for OpenCore (seems to be the consensus from other music/audio guys I've been talking to) and Catalina on an X299 for the vanilla installation, and then I'll get help with the patch. I'm going to try Catalina to see if it works - if not I'll do Mojave. The installation guide here for Open Core seems to have Clover in it, which is what's confusing me. I'm probably missing something obvious, but again I'm brand new to this. The information out there is overwhelming -- any very specific help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
