carlos28355 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Hello I was referred to this site from http://www.osx86.net @Kyndder has helped me out as much as he could and has been very helpful. I started out with boot issues which was related to the intel hd graphics. Then through lots of trial and error have got the OSX pretty stable and most stuff working. My problem currently is with the USB's they can randomly come and go but mostly do not work. Anyone have any suggestions? There is a lot of stuff we have tried to fix this. I cant remember them all but i will let you know if i have done your suggestion or not. If anyone is interested here is my original post about the time we started on my USB's http://www.osx86.net/10-7-lion/13453-every-bootloader-fails-boot-after-install-27.html#post96949 Thanks again! Cassio Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 The DSDT patches EHCI, UHCI and IRQs usually help with USB issues http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=634 Use patches under "Notebook Core i Sandy Bridge". -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
carlos28355 Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 Thanks for response! Should I apply one at a time or just do all the ones you mention at once? Cassio Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 No difference, you can copy all them to a new file (separated by semicolon) and apply it once, or apply each one separately (in this case you can compile and save only after applying all patches). -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
carlos28355 Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 thanks again for the response. i always appreciate it...it has been brought to my attention by one of the OSx86.net Crew members that we have tried this. Sorry any other suggestions. Its hard for me to explain everything we have done because he did a lot of the work and just had me apply certain kext or updates or dsdt. but again anything you can suggest is appreciated (= Lenovo Laptop: Model:G570-43347PU Intel Core i3-2330M 2.2GHz Memory G.SKILL F3-10600CL9D-8GBSQ 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Intel HD Graphics 3000 OSX Lion 10.7.3 (working progress)
Cassio Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Sorry, no other suggestion, that's the only idea I had about this issue. If you attach the patched DSDT you tried, I can take a look.

Cassio Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Check in bdmesg if dsdt.aml is loaded, you should see Read HFS+ file: [hd(x,y)/Extra/DSDT.aml] ????? bytes. If it is but still doesn't work, try patching it yourself from original DSDT, maybe there are other mistakes I didn't notice. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

carlos28355 Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 oh duh never noticed that option before thank you! OK i see Read HFS+ file: [hd(0,2)/Extra/DSDT.aml] 38480 bytes. so as you suggested i will try and patch original DSDT. when i edit or patch my dsdt should i do it from a clean install? Should i install any kext to get all my stuff working...for example my ethernet and audio? or just do the dsdt right off the bat after a clean install? thanks again Lenovo Laptop: Model:G570-43347PU Intel Core i3-2330M 2.2GHz Memory G.SKILL F3-10600CL9D-8GBSQ 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Intel HD Graphics 3000 OSX Lion 10.7.3 (working progress)
Cassio Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 You need kexts for audio and ethernet. DSDT patches can solve some issues like USB, power management, etc, but they won't make the hardware work without kexts. In some cases (like AR9285) a DSDT patch can be used to make the original kext work.
