measwell Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 How do I disable Wife/Bluetooth so osx does not try to use it and write error log messages? I have an aorus z390 pro wifi, but the chip is incompatible. I have already disabled it in bios, but osx still tries to use wife and bluetooth.

measwell Posted May 6, 2020 Author Posted May 6, 2020 (edited) Okay MaLdOn, Here is my story in short; long, long ago in a galaxy not far away, I had a beautifully running build on High Sierra on old hardware. There was a mutiny among the chips, so I pulled the trigger on an aorus z390. The dark lord sent me the pro wifi version. I decided to keep it, since it was on its way already. Since then I am dwelling on the dark side for the last week... Having a hard time to run it in iGPU only mode. The problems addressed so far: BIOS: flashed it to f12c and patched with the CFG Unlock (MSR) profile for f12c found in AudioGod guide. No USB with AudioGod SSDT: I made my own map with hackingtool like you told me. No HDMI signal after wake: added bootflags: igfxonln=1 and -wegnoegpu and proper (?) device properties for the i5 9600k uhd 630 iGPU. Green screen: presumably fixed by patching EDID. ( https://spin.atomicobject.com/2018/08/24/macbook-pro-external-monitor-display-problem/ ) Reboot after wake: presumably caused by using iGPU with an hdmi monitor without speakers. Tried disabling hdmi audio output by: - setting inject audio to 'no'. - adding device properties for hdmi audio. It would be nice to disable hdmi audio on ssdt level if possible ( I will never use hdmi audio ). ( https://hackintosher.com/guides/stop-macos-from-freezing-on-sleep-wake-with-a-catalina-hackintosh/ ) The system still is unstable: - I need to disable wifi/bluetooth so osx doesn't fill my logs with alerts about missing hardware. - Wake before the fans stops seems to work. Wake after the fans stop malfunctions. I see a black screen with a frozen white mouse cursor for a longer while ( about 10 seconds ) and then I sometimes see the login screen and sometimes the system reboots. This behaviour is erratic. - I am not sure if native nvram works. Tried nvram TestVar=HelloWorld; After a reboot it seems to be gone. Thank you very much in advance. I have donated and will do so again when the system is stable! Send me Desktop.fritz.box.zip Edited May 6, 2020 by measwell

The time between clicking sleep and fans going off is reduced by half. 2. Waking up time is shortened too. Tried 3 times; 3 times success 3. I did notice a green screen flash at wakeup time, even though the EDID patch is still in place. It doesn't really bother me. Maybe there is a way to force RGB on dsdt level? 4. Bluetooth icon and wifi icon still in tray.
