Monyo Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Hello, it's going to be my first time setting up Hackintosh. I first saw the idea only about a couple of weeks ago and have been hooked since. I'm looking to get it installed on a laptop and will probably play around Logic Pro X. I'm looking and reading around a lot for about a week now on what I can easily buy since I come from South East Asia and some big brands are hard to get here. I am looking at Xiaomi RedmiBook 14 since it's fairly new and it looks good with good reviews too (also budget-friendly). Now on the hackintosh side, I am quite unsure if I will get this to work even if I allot quite some time into it. I'm looking at this thread and this but it's Chinese. Specs are: i7 10510u MX 250 (I know it won't work) 512GB SSD 8GB DDR4 RAM Total newb here and just looking for other users that may have this or just some experience tweaking it into making it work. TIA.

Monyo Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 (edited) @MaLd0nHi, thank you for your response. The problem with it is there's not a lot of data outside China regarding that specific laptop. I've provided those two links and that's about all I can find for hours. On the Reddit thread it's the same laptop but it's the older model and has an 8th Gen Intel. I'm trying to get in touch with him, he hasn't replied to my messages yet. He stated that he experienced Kernel Panic but is getting some info but that was last month, hopefully he'll has a good outcome. On the Chinese Github link however, he stated that only the Bluetooth doesn't work with the same laptop model but older. So I think there's a chance on Hackintoshing this but I have too little experience to understand some of the inputs. I hope you could check it for me and see if it holds promise. Thank you. EDIT: May I request some links pertaining to that info wherein people had 10th gen Intel CPUs with Xiaomi without any problem? I'll try to absorb as much as I can. Monyo Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 @MaLd0n Yes, I've checked those but those brands and models are really hard to get from where I come from. I'd have to get those from Amazon maybe wait 30 days and pay lots of custom fees. I hope the Olarila installer can help with this Redmibook 14 ?

Monyo Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 @MaLd0n Will do. Do you think config2.plist for notebooks will have a good chance of like making things easier for me?
Monyo Posted May 14, 2020 Author Posted May 14, 2020 (edited) Update: I tried booting Olarila with this laptop and it hangs whenever I press the Boot MacOS install with Olarila (also tried config2). I also tried OpenCore with a lot of iterations about 10x now and still panics. Any help would be much appreciated. Additional Info: Some German guy had success with this laptop but unfortunately, he is not replying to my inquiries to him. Found some info on daliansky's blog about this laptop but it's older Gen. Monyo Posted May 14, 2020 Author Posted May 14, 2020 For Olarila, there is nothing to show, no logs. It just freezes whenever I press the MacOS Install Olarila Catalina. For OpenCore, here's the panic screen.
