Books crashes when trying to play audio

In my Macbook I've been listening to audiobooks using the Books app. It works fine, even when Reading and Listening to the audio. You also have the option of managing the parts of the audiobook.

But in my Catalina 10.15.4 hack, the moment I try to play the audio file, it crashes instantly. A moment later I have a warning that the app has crashed. ?

My question is: is there a common or known fix for anything of this sort?

I have attached the screenshot of the Book app with the audio file and the report.
