How can I get hardware acceleration on AMD apu Redeon Vega 11 (Ryzen 3400g)?

 

My MOBO- Asus B450M-A

Ram 16 gigs

SSD 128 gigs 

HDD 1 TB

Hi everyone I would like to change hardware while keeping my RX580 nitro 8GB video card.
I would like to buy an I9 -10850 cpu, which motherboard with zZ590 chip do you recommend to buy?

if u need a thunderbolt use z490. z590 internal tbh dont work with hotplug

Thunderbolt doesn't interest me, so I'd take the Gigabyte or Asus Z590 chip, any model, one I like ..

Hi, Thank you for the great  post. I tried to install Big Sur but I was not successful. I have attached a photo of the error.

My system spec is :

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H

Motherboard: ASUS FA706IU
Computer Brand Name:                                                            ASUS ASUS TUF Gaming A17 FA706IU_FA706IU

Thanks for the quick reply, I deleted the EFI folder in the usb EFI partition and copied the files from the zip. I also tried the Reset-NVRam twice. still I get the same error screen. Regarding the bios config, what should I do? I checked the bios has no CSM configuration. It has Secure-Boot which is disabled.

Hi @MaLd0n I got a succes on asus rog strix B450-F, ryzen 3600 with Saphire RX580 gpu. I just and only use your efi folder to install and post-installation. I got full video hw acceleration and audio, everythings is working fine. Do I need to patch something else...?

Is there other anyway to control case fans speeds and  gpu fan speed(like radeon software)?  I can manage fan speeds with the  AMd power gadget but there is one connector, the aio pump where is a 120mm fan connected that do not respond to Amd power gadget fan control and always stays at full speed.

Edit: How can I make  hw monitor works to show all the devices and sensors. I used  to have it working but  that was on an intel platform long time ago.

here we used a full solution with full dsdt patched, but this folder work good

Hi MaLd0n

My specs is : 

+Ryzen 5 3500

+Sapphire Nitro RX 580

+MSI B450M Mortar Max

 

I already did all the steps needed for my fresh installation to Monterey Beta 6 (I've used Catalina before). BIOS settings is fine

I made all needed modifications to config.plist as instructions (my 3500 has 6 cores) and replace edited EFI folder to your vanilla image. However, I can't pass the boot stage. The console runs completely fine but stuck at the gray screen, nothing happens. 

 

I have no idea what I need to do to fix this. Any suggestions for me?

I forgot that I'm having two monitors are connected at the same time. Unplugged one and everything works fine. What a funny mistake. ?

buenas tardes.tengo un amd ryzen 3900x y una 2080ti.he intentado instalar ios un millon d veces pero nada o se me queda la pantalla en negro o no llega a comentar a instalar, estoy un poco desesperado,despues de usar 8 años mi imac como primer pc estoy ahora con esto que ni por asomo me da lo que necesito, el balena me da error al montar casi el 90% de las imagines por lo que estoy usando rufus.y nose si en los videotutoriales se saltan algo de la bios pero cambio las mismas opciones y no hay forma

Hi again @MaLd0n my rig is working great but one little problem. I can't erase and mount disks, I always got errors like 5 input/output etc and after boot Os says that there is a unrecoignazible disk. That happened with a new kingston ssd A400 (intended to be the system disk) and two 2.5 hdd, I samsung nvme 970 evo. I try it from recovery and from the installation usb no luck. Do you think that there is a problem with some patch or sata driver? Do I need an extra patch? or there is a mobo problem but with previos version of macosx and same hardware that didn't happened

This is one of the errors I got

The problem is mainly with macosx formatted drives, disks with windows ntfs are mounted with no problem. macosx drives do not mount and any drive can´t be erased into any file system with disk utility neither from terminal.
