Yes, that is unfortunate. If its not working in polling mode, interrupt mode wont work either.

On the net I can't find any help I tried other methods again without success. I hope that this problem can and will be solved quickly because on a laptop it is quite disabling not to have a functional touchpad.

Sorry for the delay I did a complete formatting to see if the problem was solved but still not. I replaced the old DSDT.aml file by your DSDT.aml file but nothing makes it my touchpad is still not working :

Should I upgrade to macOS Mojave or Catalina ? I have seen some forums on the net that some compatibility issues can be fixed by upgrading.

No problem. Its good that you did a reformat. At least, I know we are working on a clean system and we will stick with the stable Mojave for now as Catalina do not have official support from VoodooI2C as of now.

Touchpad still does not work. In addition, my battery has gone from 19% to 0% by restarting.

I haven't switched to Mojave yet, I'm still on High Sierra but if the problems can be solved by upgrading, is it wise to upgrade my system to this version ?

Touchpad still not working. I think my system should be Mojave compatible. I read on various forums that the Intel UHD 630 graphics processor was supported natively so a priori there should not be any problems except for some modifications in Clover's config.plist.

Yes, it is supported. Just make sure you are updated with latest clover and kexts.

Try this.

If still doesnt work, this is what you'll need to do.

1. Open DSDT with macIASL app

2. Find Device (ETPD) as shown in the screenshot

3. Replace Gpi0Int 0x004A with these values. Reboot for each changes and see if there are changes in ioreg

a) 0x0057

b) 0x00B2

c)0x00CA

d)0x00D7

e)0x00F7

With the 0x0057 I don't have the same thing as you in the .ioreg file (I don't have a drop-down menu for ETPD).

Indeed, it is a rather complicated problem. I will try to install Mojave in a clean installation. On the other hand, for the AsusSMC, I just saw on GitHub that a DSDT patch was needed. Is the one I own okay to install this kext or not ?
