I have a problem with AppleHDA native audio with my ALC284, which I have in my Toshiba Qosmio PX30 t. After six years of testing, with all the systems that have come out, without obtaining more audio than: an integrated output of internal speakers, no inputs and only audio in the headphones.

I intend to get the full audio of ALC284, I would appreciate it if you could help me in this last challenge that I still have to face in my hackintosh, now with macOS Catalina 10.15 beta 11, after having had Mac OSX Leopard 14 years ago.

MaLd0n, AptioMemoryFix still work? I got slide error and cannot boot, also changed it to OsxMemoryFix3 but neither boots

I've already tried but OpenCore still is in Beta and a bit harder to configure, fortunately there is a new commit for AMD Catalina in https://github.com/AMD-OSX/AMD_Vanilla with Clover that in fact i'm trying now, but cannot boot, got stuck End RandomSeed, or kernel panic, etc. just as before i could install Mojave, i'm waiting for Olarila AMD Image cause always has been the only from i've been able to boot without problems, for that & more thanks MaLd0n, watching and waiting Olarila releases to update

Maldon:

For ALC284 there is only published in tables id-layout = 3. However, I have tried other ALC283 id-layouts like 1,11,44,66, in addition to 28 and I don't get the total audio.

I have tried all the id-layouts of the acidanthera website, even one that is not there, and I invented myself in case it existed. Only id-layout 3 obtains partial audio with only one output, which can only be heard with headphones. Kexts: last AppleALC, Lilu, WateverGreen and I have also added CodecComander, although the latter does not add or remove anything. On the wb there is very little published about ALC284, a little used Realtek model it seems.

However, my ioreg always marks id-layout 7, which does not work

I have ASUS X555LAB Motherboard Laptop with 4Gigs of ram 500Go of HDD and i3 5th gen processor which it works fine now with Sierra and Only sierra but I defnitly want to try it and This build is my only hackintosh my laptop is everything for me and I don't know doing this may risk it or not?

The OS uses APFS instead of HFS and it tends to be slow on HDD..it is optimized for SSD.

So I was unable to install the first Olarila 10.15.5 image, and also tried to install the updated version. No succes, also when i tried to launch it with the config.plst supplied with the image. 

 

So I switched back to Mojave, and tried to install the 'Mojave 2020' image from Olarila. No way, Jose. No video output after startup. Was something concerning the video output changed in these images? Never encountered any problems before.

@MaLd0n Hello dejar, I try to install Catalina Olarila and I get the following message when installing: This copy of the install MacOS Catalina application is corrupted, so it cannot be used to install macOS.  i thought it was usb problem but i already tried 3 different usb and i keep getting the same error.  Any solution please, thank you.

It's been more than a week that I was using my hackintosh with macos catalina normally, but today I decided to completely format my laptop and install everything again, but I got an error message that I mentioned earlier.

Hi, I'm totally new to Hackintosh, I've been running Windows all my life. I have downloaded the Catalina image to install on a NUC (NUC8I3BEK) i3-8109U 8GB M.2 256GB Iris Plus 655 using balenaetcher and a flash memory and adapting the BIOS settings. All the installation goes perfectly but in the end (choose region or country) it is automatically reset. Any idea or solution? Hola, soy totalmente nuevo en el tema Hackintosh, toda mi vida e manejado Windows. He descargado la imagen de Catalina para instalar en  un NUC ( NUC8I3BEK) i3-8109U 8GB M.2 256GB Iris Plus 655 usando balenaetcher y una memoria flash y adaptando la configuracion de la BIOS. Todo la instalacion va a la perfección pero ya en el final (elejir region o pais) se resetea de mandera automatica. Alguna idea o solucion??
