niteman1969 Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Hi There, I am using an EFI of the nearest Thinkpad model to the X280 , which is the Thinkpad T480. It is almost perfect and almost everything seems to be working with the same ssdt files and the clover DSDT Patches in config.plist The only things that are not detected are the thunderbolt ports (work as usb-c) and the battery , the t480 has 2 batteries whereas the x280 only has one, which is not showingat all. Everything is 0 and no battery status indicator possible. Could anyone please help??? It will be a perfect machine once this problem is sorted out. Many Thanks Jack Send me Jacks-MBP.zip
onemanosx Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 [ref]niteman1969[/ref], 1. Place DSDT.aml in Clover/ACPI/Patched 2. Remove SSDT-BAT and SSDT-BATC 3. Reboot and see if battery works. niteman1969 Posted April 6, 2019 Author Posted April 6, 2019 Hi , and thank you for your help, unfortunately it didn't work. I tried it with and without acpibatterymanager.kext and smcbatterymanager.kext individually I did delete ssd-bat.aml and ssd-batc.aml and nothing changed. I then tried disabling the notifies for battc on acpi tab on clover. I'm stumped. Many Thanks Jack
onemanosx Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 I then tried disabling the notifies for battc on acpi tab on clover. Need to check your osi patch or ssdt has windows patch. I also took a look at your clover config and found there are multiple hot patches for battery status. Remove all hot patches concerning battery and try again. Can you generate fresh ACPI tables by pressing F4 at clover bootloader and upload clover/acpi/origin folder? niteman1969 Posted April 8, 2019 Author Posted April 8, 2019 Hi again and many thanks for taking the time to help. I have attached my origin folder made by f4 on clover screen and my modded config.plist Hopefully I have done this right. Many thanks again. Jack original files.zip

niteman1969 Posted April 8, 2019 Author Posted April 8, 2019 Hi There, just get the no entry sign immediately after apple logo. I deleted all the other ssts, should I be trying with Fakesmc instead of virtualsmc?
onemanosx Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Hi There, just get the no entry sign immediately after apple logo. I deleted all the other ssts, should I be trying with Fakesmc instead of virtualsmc? add -v in boot arg to see what is causing the problem. I am also not a fan of installing kexts in S/L/E or L/E. Use only clover/kexts/other folder for its purpose. Download a generic clover folder here and use it as well https://Olarila.com/files/Clover.Folder/CLOVER.NOTEBOOKS.100.200.300.zip. Upon reboot, generate a new RunMe file. richardfsr Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 I just got the battery indicator working on my x280. I applied the x220 DSDT patch from here https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch/blob/master/battery/battery_Lenovo-X220.txt copied DSDT.aml into patched and deleted SSDT-BAT and SSDT-BATC. More by luck than anything else. Thanks for posting about using the T480 EFI, it was a big help.
