TheInternal Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 first time trying to do the whole hackintosh thing using high sierra. followed your guide as well as I could without having accerss to a Mac. Also tried adding -v nv_disable#1 to options, neither of which got OSX loaded. Getting either kernel panics or Error loading kernel cache messages. I7-6850k, Gigabyte Phoenix SLI x99, 32GB RAM, SAMSUNG 850 EVO 512GB, Gigabyte Windforce 970 OC Tried following a BIOS setup guide, as well as tried loading optimized default. No dice. Does the target install drive have to be formatted before starting install?

TheInternal Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 Managed to extract EFI System Partition.img and disk image.hfsx then edit EFI System Partition.img to include OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi... but can't figure out how to get them back in a file or files in Windows 10 that will result in a working OSX USB install drive. Tried 7zip, Power ISO, transmac, Explorer++... any tips or tricks to getting the modified files in a usable form using only a Windows 10 computer?
