Using the information you had given us, you can use the boot flag uia_exclude=HS02;HS07;HS13;HS14;USR1;USR2. Reboot and post ioreg here.

Explanation on identifying USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 using ioreg can be read here: https://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=66394#p66394

The below link is also a good resource for your understanding.

USR1/USR2 is just a dummy port and can be ignored.

Tried connecting my 3.0 pen drive, still not detecting.

And also, I tried to look inside Clover Configurator, any of these I need to disable?

Added in 2 minutes 51 seconds:

[ref]promaestro[/ref], test ALL ports again using usb 3.0 device and report back with results. Use another USB 3.0 device if you have to as some USB 3.0 pen drive is not reliable.

In 10.14.1, all USB ports patches are useless. You can disable all of them.

[ref]promaestro[/ref], HEY? Really?

Show your ioreg tree. Which SSxx ports are working and which is not. Looking at your earlier reply, your working USB 3.0 ports should be SS01,SS03,SS04,SS05 and SS06. You might want to test again all your ports (both 2.0 and 3.0 devices). And since SS02 is not a USB 3.0 port, you can add SS02 in the exclude boot flag.

Now that you already know how this works. You can do it on your own. Its a matter of "port elimination" to meet Apple's 15 port limitation.

So at step 3 the flag -uia_exclude_ssp should be included again despite being mentioned to be deleted ? Or its some typo ?

And what ssp means? is that a Type C port ?

Sorry I'm asking because I'm following the guide again to activate my new USB Type C but its a no go for me

[ref]RandomTech7[/ref], Not a typo. Some systems defines SSPx instead of SSxx for their superspeed ports. I wrote as such so new users can easily follow the guide.

Share your resulting ioreg and dsdt so we can troubleshoot together.

I got it thanks, exported IOReg and ssdt files compressed are too large to upload (6.7MB)

btw I'm using the ssdt with the latest USBInjectall.kext for now but I remove them when I'm attempting this guide.

Edit: Sorry was using old version of ioreg, now files looks better in size, silly me :|

thanks for quick response, now lets take it from the beginning because I do sometimes silly things, so my question is; How to test Type C USB?
