RedStarOne
Hello, I want to upgrade my iMac27 (12,2) with a new Grafikcard! NVIDIA GTX860M and a new CPU! i7-3770 (Ivy Bridge), and replace the old GPU! With AMD Radeon HD6970M and the old CPU! i5-2400 (Sandy Bridge), from iMac27 (12,2) to iMac27 (13,2) BUT! How? Can I do this? Can I download the firmware from the iMac27 (13,2) and replace the firmware from my iMac (12,2) or is this not possible, because of the "wrong" iMac? Because I have build the i7-3770 CPU! In my iMac, it is the same Socket H2 (1155) but NO! Boot any more, I think! Of the missing CPU-ID in the firmware of (12,2) I'am right? Or NOT !?! Or how? Can i edit the firmware, and ad the CPU-ID for all Ivy Bridge CPU's by myself, with an APP or program! But with program I need? And the second test! Was to build the GTX860M in my iMac (MXM-Module) change, it is SIMPLE! But it boot's UP! But no picture, just a black screen! But boot is WORKING! I have hear it, with voice over! I think, the PROBLEM! Here was the missing! Driver for my GTX860M, because I have not installed the NVIDIA Web Driver, is this also right !?! And I have also solved! The problem with the broken! HD6970M with become! stripes or a blank screen, because of the heating! OVER! Heating the GPU! This problem is known! Ok. I don't want to OPEN! My iMac27 twice again, before I know, if THIS! Konfiguration will WORK! So my question is, can this! will be working! With a Web Driver! The newest for El Capitan (15G22010) or have I Update to Sierra first, and then with the new GTX860M to Mojave, because! Of the missing support for the HD6970M GPU! So PLEASE! Give me a answer, THANK! You. Greets RedStarOne. 1.) Gigabyte GA-X58A-Ud3R/INTEL X5670/GTX960(2GB)/12GB Ram/Manjaro XFCE/Win 10/Mojave 10.14.4(Olarila) 2.)
