Hey Maldon,

I was running pretty stable on this config, until lately I tried to connect an external 4K dipslay @60Hz, now the system only boot once every 30 times or so and even then the screen flickers often even seeming to have power issues (the same screen working perfectly on other computers), it usually get stuck at some kextd stall or gioscreenlockstate before having a chance of going to the desktop (ending up with black screens).

I have switched to open core as attempt to follow latest guides (especially with weg framebuffer patching), but it does not change anything. I tried extracting that screen EDID from Linux and forcing it as well in case it was some issue with it.

I sometimes also get considerrebuild messages for kexts, here is my runme, could you have a lok at it and see if I'm missing something (or if I have some duplicate stuff).

Config is:

- i7 8700 (UHD 630)

- Gigabyte Z370N Wifi

- 1xHDMI + 1xHDMI 2.0 + 1 DP

- SSD (Sata)

https://we.tl/t-AqIHGIigKL

(can't embed the sendme, it's too big)

Thanks !

Especially including <key>enable-hdmi20</key> that is equivalent to -cdfon from what it seems...

I manage to boot from time to time (but totally randomly, needing to force power off several times):

- the system boots in 60Hz, but screen is flickering and speakers are glitching

-  If I turn off the screen and wait for a few hours, when I turn it back on it syncs in 24Hz, and if I try to force it to a higher freq with RDM it hangs...

I've tested connecting a 1080p screen to the other HDMI, does not change anything whatsoever.

Should I try and increase DVMT alloc mem in the BIOS (it was at 64MB, I've increased to 128MB, but iI can go higher, up to 512MB I think) ?

I have another 4k screen, I might check with this one and see if it changes anything.

My point is I really need the 60Hz, as in 24Hz for my use (Digital Audio Workstation) it's too laggy...

Thanks for your help, let me know if there is anything else I shouls try
