Hello members and team,

I am attempting to install High Sierra on my laptop but it got stuck onto the following step.

IMG_20181024_213607.thumb.jpg.a3fabe5745cd35354b269acace604e20.jpg

It goes through with the verbose mode, it then goes to the loading screen and after 1 minute the mouse comes up but no menu bar or anything else comes up.

I disabled Descrete graphics, Intel Virtualization an Legacy support from bios as those are the only options existion on my laptop model.

Do note that I am more on the noob side at hackintosh so extra instructions will be needed if you will ask me to provide files.

System config:

Lenovo Ideapad 510-15IKB

Intel i7-7500U Intel HD 620 Kaby Lake

Nvidia geforce 940mx

P. S: I am using the clover folder as instructed in the tutorial but there is no config2.plist to use (as discribed in the error section)

Regards,

Andrei

Hi @MaLd0n,

I was too tired last night to write back.

I decided to try one more time and since I was tired already I started drifting the mouse left-right right after booting the installer. Guess what? It went to the choose language screen. Amazing! I leave it like that for a moment and again it freezes.

I decided to try again since that was progress. I started moving the mouse around and managed to install it succesfully...

Problem 2: after the whole setup finished the system looks good, no wifi since I didn't know what kext to use (yet), video works well without artefacts and audio works out of the box... But the laptop does not seem to cooperate well. I tried to copy the post install files and it barely moves. I do a copy paste and the file showed up on desktop after 2 minutes. (in case this is vital info, I installed it on an ssd).

Is that something to be fixed?

Thanks!
