ohmyitsadamm Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Hi im not sure if this in the right section and I apologise if its not but I've never posted on any forums before but getting desperate for help now. I've tried everything I can think of boot always hangs at this error (see attached). It will still boot, but sometimes I have to replug my mouse and keyboard for them to work. If I unplug my mouse and keyboard while this error pops up it won't hang and will go straight to login. Sometimes if I'm already using the hackintosh and then just reboot I won't get this error/hang either I've tried Sierra, High Sierra and even Mojave beta, all the same. Tried various different installs, making my own USB with App Store versions and now using the Olarila image for High Sierra, tried all the USBInjectAll etc stuff and even no usb kexts or anything but nothing I try and do will get rid of this hang 100% If anyone can help it will be so greatly appreciated, thanks! Send me Adams-iMac.zip

ohmyitsadamm Posted September 22, 2018 Author Posted September 22, 2018 Hey MaLd0n thanks for your reply and the clover file I tried it and unfortunately still getting the same hang on boot I'm completely running out of ideas and I'm still a noob when it comes to the USB side of stuff with mackintosh Thanks again

ohmyitsadamm Posted September 22, 2018 Author Posted September 22, 2018 Hey thanks for your reply. Just tried that and it still hangs at that error and I had to replug my mouse and keyboard upon the login screen It honestly makes no sense because sometimes that hang won't even appear and it's fine, but 8 times out of 10 that error/hang is there, very occasionally it stalls for ages and the only way to get past it is to unplug my mouse and keyboard Thankyou again, your time is massively appreciated
Administrators MaLd0n Posted September 22, 2018 Administrators Posted September 22, 2018 use a fresh install, the problem is not normal -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
ohmyitsadamm Posted September 22, 2018 Author Posted September 22, 2018 This is the third fresh install I've done now and it still happens I'll try again, if it still persists I guess the easiest solution would be to replace the motherboard?
Administrators MaLd0n Posted September 22, 2018 Administrators Posted September 22, 2018 is a very strange, asus work very good too -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
ohmyitsadamm Posted September 22, 2018 Author Posted September 22, 2018 I've tried Sierra, High Sierra and Mojave beta like I said in the OP as well as tried some distro's, I know they're frowned upon but I was desperate to see if something would stop it. It's odd how sometimes it doesn't happen as well I also get really bad coil whine while downloading stuff or moving the mouse under OS X but I've disabled all C states etc so maybe a new motherboard would be a good idea Do you think perhaps what kind of mouse and keyboard I'm using would be causing an issue? Its a corsair k55 and corsair scimitar. Again, thanks for all your help
Administrators MaLd0n Posted September 22, 2018 Administrators Posted September 22, 2018 idk, try with a simple keyboard/mouse -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
ohmyitsadamm Posted September 23, 2018 Author Posted September 23, 2018 So I’ve tried a normal keyboard and mouse, issue still persists. Tried a fresh install with absolutely no usb kexts at first, issue didn’t happen for a bit then it started again, installed that clover folder, issue didn’t happen on the first reboot then started happening again Completely at loss now
Administrators MaLd0n Posted September 23, 2018 Administrators Posted September 23, 2018 u have a last bios version? -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
ohmyitsadamm Posted September 23, 2018 Author Posted September 23, 2018 Yeah, I’ve even gone as far as downgrading the BIOS to older versions that people were using on the guides online, still didn’t work. So I’m back on the latest version of the bios now.
