Please don't mind my questions..i am very noob here, and as per my knowledge DSDT requires only on laptops, hence i raise the question.

I have purchase this hardware only for hackintosh and spend more than 3 month to make stable. but every time i am facing very weird issue so i am really frustrated.on my previous build Z 77 Motherboard the OS is fluid and rock solid everything work out of the box so i though lets make more powerful build ,but things has been changed.

Thanks and Regards,

Nice build and guide, I have msi Z390i and everything working fine with clover, but as clover is ending for Hackintosh Im trying to switch to open core but then I lose build in audio.

do you have any plans to switch or try open core?

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I tried OC on a bootable USB and update it as new releases are available.

Pretty sure Clover wont meet its end anytime soon at all. Why? Clover's feature to allow users to drop tables and mod acpi patches in bootloader menu is an advantage for installation and troubleshooting. That my pov, anyway.

Thanks for the good news about Clover, I felt a bit sad to leave that trust worthy bootloader as I'm using it since 10.10.5 Yosemite with no issues.

Now I am getting back to Clover and gonna keep it for ever :D ok as long as it stays alive  Thanks again!

Hi onemanosx,

I am new to hackintoshing but luckily I have the the same motherboard (MSI B360 Gaming Arctic).

I have got it to install and working but I am not sure it I have done it properly.

Do you mind sharing your EFI folder and DSDT patch?

Thanks

Hi , and thanks a lot for sharing your experience;  i've been reading this topic now because i'm planning to build one similar hackintosh.

But small difference on motherboard : msi b360 gaming plus with i5 8400 and rx 580  (So very close to yours.)

You started this topic in 2018 so i understand at that time you would use smbios 18,3 which make sense.

I guess now i could go with smbios 19,2 (wich is for actual Apple iMac core i5 - 8500)

Am I right, and what other changes you would suggest ?

thanks a lot

if u have a amd gpu use macpro7,1 or imacpro1,1 smbios

just use olarila folder for serie 300.400
