MacUser Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 scroll to previous posts and download my custom USB kext. Place in clover/kext/other folder and delete any other usb kexts you might have. I tried Sir,but after placing your Kext in other folder usb Mouse and KBD becomes dead.

onemanosx Posted August 1, 2019 Author Posted August 1, 2019 [ref]MacUser[/ref], Block USBInjectAll and XHCI-unsupported kext in clover so that they will not load. Upload a copy of Ioreg as proof. ASUS-B360-USB.kext.zip More can be done to further tweak your build but there are no ACPI tables in origin folder. And, your clover driver folder needs to be cleaned up. Basically, you either use just aptiomemoryfix or combo of osxaptiofix3+emuvariable. NOT ALL at the same time. You also do not need legacy aptiomemoryfix-64 driver in UEFI Donate Gitter Chat Acer Aspire V15 Nitro- Black Edition VN7-592G/HM170 Chipset Intel i7-6700HQ, 8GB RAM (UEFI Clover Catalina) MSI B360 Gaming Arctic Intel i5-8600 16GB RAM Asus Radeon RX580 8GB (UEFI Clover Catalina)

onemanosx Posted August 1, 2019 Author Posted August 1, 2019 Speed is same as previous. Proof of ioreg. As I had said, use a true USB type C device to test. Not all devices comply. Did i need to remove usb comment from clover for using new USB kext? And the Device i am using is brand new,its working very well In Windows 10. Thanks Send me Riteshs-iMac.zip
onemanosx Posted August 1, 2019 Author Posted August 1, 2019 (edited) Did i need to remove usb comment from clover for using new USB kext? Yes, you can remove the boot argument. Its only useful if used with USBInjectAll kext. You can also remove Clover's kext to patch USB Patch Limit. The IOReg shows USB type C speed is detected. https://imgur.com/olYdf33 https://imgur.com/6nN3z7P https://imgur.com/CodCuw6 FYI, 0x9 or 0x0A = USB TYPE C 0X3 = USB 3.0 Press F4 at clover bootloader and upload files in clover/acpi/origin folder. You can also remove the unused kexts as highlighted. https://imgur.com/wxGENqV Edited August 2, 2019 by Guest Donate Gitter Chat Acer Aspire V15 Nitro- Black Edition VN7-592G/HM170 Chipset Intel i7-6700HQ, 8GB RAM (UEFI Clover Catalina) MSI B360 Gaming Arctic Intel i5-8600 16GB RAM Asus Radeon RX580 8GB (UEFI Clover Catalina)

MacUser Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Please don't mind my questions..i am very noob here, and as per my knowledge DSDT requires only on laptops, hence i raise the question. I have purchase this hardware only for hackintosh and spend more than 3 month to make stable. but every time i am facing very weird issue so i am really frustrated.on my previous build Z 77 Motherboard the OS is fluid and rock solid everything work out of the box so i though lets make more powerful build ,but things has been changed. Thanks and Regards,

RandomTech7 Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 Nice build and guide, I have msi Z390i and everything working fine with clover, but as clover is ending for Hackintosh Im trying to switch to open core but then I lose build in audio. do you have any plans to switch or try open core? Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I tried OC on a bootable USB and update it as new releases are available. Pretty sure Clover wont meet its end anytime soon at all. Why? Clover's feature to allow users to drop tables and mod acpi patches in bootloader menu is an advantage for installation and troubleshooting. That my pov, anyway. Thanks for the good news about Clover, I felt a bit sad to leave that trust worthy bootloader as I'm using it since 10.10.5 Yosemite with no issues. Now I am getting back to Clover and gonna keep it for ever ok as long as it stays alive Thanks again! bikas4u Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Hi onemanosx, I am new to hackintoshing but luckily I have the the same motherboard (MSI B360 Gaming Arctic). I have got it to install and working but I am not sure it I have done it properly. Do you mind sharing your EFI folder and DSDT patch? Thanks
novemberman Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 Hi , and thanks a lot for sharing your experience; i've been reading this topic now because i'm planning to build one similar hackintosh. But small difference on motherboard : msi b360 gaming plus with i5 8400 and rx 580 (So very close to yours.) You started this topic in 2018 so i understand at that time you would use smbios 18,3 which make sense. I guess now i could go with smbios 19,2 (wich is for actual Apple iMac core i5 - 8500) Am I right, and what other changes you would suggest ? thanks a lot
