myvarimu Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Hey all, mr Maldon! So the final hurdle for my X299 machine seems to be bluetooth. Have tried hard to get this working by myself but don't seem to be getting anywhere.... I bought the BCM943602CS Combo Card, WIFI worked right away, but BT didn't. Then read a lot online and many others seemed to struggle with BT. So I just went and bought the GMYLE BT 4.0 dongle as many seem to use/reccomend this. And still no luck!! I can see it in system report and IOREG, just can't get it to function.... It worked in windows but it was super slow.... One problem at a time eh... Have attached my send me for assistance.... Thankyou!! Jack x Send me Michaels-iPro.zip X299 Designare, i9 7940x, 64GB, GTX 1060 6gb, Samsung 970 m.2

myvarimu Posted August 28, 2018 Author Posted August 28, 2018 Okay will check now, these for EFI or Extentions? Also have a strange problem with sleep/wake. Computer seems to go to sleep; power appears to be off. I have to hit the power button to bring it back to life, then when it boots I get the Mac your computer shut down because of a problem.... Personally I don't need any sleep wake functions, would like just to disable all together. My energy settings are all turned off.... X299 Designare, i9 7940x, 64GB, GTX 1060 6gb, Samsung 970 m.2

I've downloaded BT Explorer, trying to change host controller, I can select the Broadcom but hitting active just defaults back to the previous setting... onemanosx Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Tried again but still struggling with this one.. Please list which files you use and how you install the 2 required files. Also, did you connect the card to a working internal usb connector? myvarimu Posted August 29, 2018 Author Posted August 29, 2018 Hi One-man, its the GMYLE dongle I'm trying to get working here (I gave up on the PCIE card for BT as I read so many negative comments on the web about it, it serves it purpose as a WIFI card now just fine) I've tried various combinations of kexts, but currently its BrcmFirmwareData, BrcmPatchRAM. Both installed in Clover/Kexts I can see the GMYLE under USB in my system report, but as I said above the bluetooth tab still reports Intel being the manufacturer. onemanosx Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 currently its BrcmFirmwareData, BrcmPatchRAM. Both installed in Clover/Kexts You should use BrcmPatchRAM2 + BrcmFirmwareData if you're injecting via clover/kexts/other. I am currrently using BCM943602CS with no issues. Did you connect the usb cable from pcie to your usb port? Sorry not familiar with GMYLE dongle. myvarimu Posted August 29, 2018 Author Posted August 29, 2018 Okay, I’ll double check with that. Currently the cable is disconnected, but as I said it’s the dongle that I’m trying to get working.... even with the cable disconnected I should still be able to see the correct manufacturer in the Bluetooth system report right ?
