This is a bios/mbr motherboard. How should I format the usb/hdd, what options should I choose in Clover 4630?

Could you supply a config.plist file to start or an EFI folder?

Thank you Mald0n, prepared usb with Olarila image and win32diskimager.

System starts but after "DSMOS has arrived" screen goes black and reboots. Tried both vga & hdmi connections. Could it be a framebuffer problem or some bios setting?

Perhaps but I borrowed an nVidia 9800GT from a friend and it still has the same problem. Black screen, monitor off.

I tried patching the Lotus framebuffer but I get this message:

[agpm controller] unknown platform.

I also have the DSDT.aml and SSDT-0.aml, obtained through Clover. Do you think it's worth anything taking a look at them?

ok Mald0n, thank you for the advice. I need to borrow a DVI monitor and cable now...

could you please tell me how to format a usb flashdrive and create a mave installer (with clover) manually for MBR (bios) booting?

Are there any bios settings I should pay attention to? Trying to boot with default settings. Is that ok?

only in sata mode, use AHCI and try, change bios only if need, but ahci is mandatory

ok I enabled AHCI. Removed the HD6450 and installed an nVidia GT710. This gpu has 3 ports: vga, hdmi, dvi-d and I tried them all.

The installer starts with npci=3000 (I get a KP with 2000), finds the Firewire too, but it just hangs in the attached picture

What options should I select in Clover->Options->Graphics?

Used an older version of Clover (3333) and made a little progress. Could you please tell me how to enable the Marvell Yukon 88E8056/88E8001 Ethernet on Mavericks and/or Mountain Lion?

Sorry that didn't work. Found this kext:

https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/241-marvell-88e8056-for-mavericks-1093/

and installed it with Kext Utility. Yes the Ethernet appears to work (the port LEDs are on) but now the nVidia installation is broken. I can only boot with nv_disable=1 flag. How can I repair the nVidia installation?

Could this be a problem with AppleKextExcludeList.kext? Should I try a newer Clover version? Using 3333 now.
