Bruno Arias Jimenez Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 Hello everyone, I’m currently running macOS Sequoia 15.7 on my HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF using OpenCore. Specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-8700 (Coffee Lake, 6 cores / 12 threads) iGPU: Intel UHD 630 (no dedicated GPU) RAM: 32 GB DDR4 Storage: 2 × NVMe SSDs (1 × Windows 11, 1 × macOS) Motherboard: Intel 300 Series chipset SMBIOS currently: iMac19,12 (working fine) Problem When I try to boot the macOS Tahoe installer, I completely lose display output with my UHD 630 (screen goes black). What I tried Different SMBIOS values (iMac20,1). Various boot-args for UHD 630 (e.g. -igfxvesa, igfxonln=1, agdpmod=pikera, etc.). Tested different AAPL,ig-platform-id values. Tried multiple device properties in config.plist. None of these attempts worked — I always lose display output. Questions Is UHD 630 (8th gen Coffee Lake) simply unsupported in Tahoe at the moment? Is there any known workaround or patch (OCLP or other) to make the installer work with UHD 630? Should I just stay on Sequoia until better support is available? Thanks in advance for any help!
