WPN Lumia Posted September 10, 2025 Posted September 10, 2025 Hello everyone, Is this hardware compatible with Tahoe: i7-7700k, Intel integrated graphics, and Asus Prime Z270-P? I am currently using Sequoia and it works great, but I saw that Tahoe has some audio issues. My question is: Is the EFI folder for Kaby Lake compatible with Tahoe, and does this Intel graphics show up as Metal? Also, what should be changed in config.plist besides the new iMac20,1 model?
ninomio Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 Potresti inviarmi la cartella EFI. Grazie Could you send me the EFI folder? Thanks. Indirizzo MAIL nino-mio@libero.it Email address: nino-mio@libero.it
Casey Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Hey 'WPN Lumia' Unfortunately anything newer than the last supported Intel iGPU on official Apple systems and their boards/chipsets lacks support primarily iGPU's. Mine is iGPU 770 , my CPU is an Intel i7 12700 which is 12th Gen Alderlake I've spent a long time researching and testing things it can be made to work if you edit modify say framebuffer, remove the -wenoigpu boot args from config plist and even modify kext/s or if you feel like it and have time on your hands make a driver (highly unlikely as I didn't see that as an option and I do tend to spend alot of time on things before I give up so don't bother, save yourself the effort). What I did was basically buy a cheap AMD RX 560 4GB it works with the latest Sequoia and Tahoe ( Tahoe being the last official macOS version to support Intel CPU's as all future versions will be specifically for their own M series and beyond ecosystem and hardware, unless the hackintosh community develop a hypervisor / VM style overlay emulator or simulator type userland kext config or library or bootloader with such implementation embedded it may be the end of all the brilliant work and progress the community has made on this). Hopefully my input shared in this reply gives you enough info to help, PS. I recommend you check all the resources available on Olarila.com as the go to place for anything involving this as I have done my research tried other sites and this is the best one there is, and no not a paid representative just like yourself , I have had nothing but excellent support here and aim to help and reply wherever possible to hopefully help out others.
