Hi All,

 

I have a Surface Book 3 running Sonoma with about 95percent working. What isn't working is the 2nd battery, bluetooth and the camera. 

I have seen issues in the past where some people with a different hard drive will struggle and so if that's you then I am sorry. 

Use the Installer EFI with your USB pen drive and the Post Install EFI on your Hard Drive when installation is complete. 

 

You will need to full delete your laptop hdd and start fresh.

Okay so I was having some overheating issues on the base of the laptop and so I ran ACPIExtractAll and have applied them in this EFI. This has fixed all my issues, however if your laptop is different you may want to use the Post Install EFI at the top and then get your own ACPI tables, but you're welcome to use mine.

I have the 15" version, but I am not sure if that matters.

Can you restore the EFI link? Or is the post install the same as install EFI? thanks

Hi, I have a similarly configured surface book 3 as you do, but my install keeps failing, is it because downgrading the UEFI is required? I sometimes get stuck at BatteryInfo or HIDDriver and then “still waiting for root device”, sorry I'm such a Newbie at this.

I've successfully used this EFI file to install Ventura with a recovery image, with no other actions at all!

I can follow the instructions in this thread, because they are talking about the Surface Book 3 and mine is the Laptop 3 model, I don't know if there is a difference.
