nikitosina Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Hi. I have a HP Pavilion DV7-6140eo with IDT 92HD81B1X Sound work well with voodoohda 2.7.3. But I use a external sound system that is connected with headphones jack. And here is the problem. When I switch on notebook, there is no sound through headphones jack. When I unplug the jack, sound is well through internal notebook's speaker, and if I plug in jack there is no sound on headphones. And I need to reboot several occasions to appeare the sound on headphone Is the way to resolve thise problem?
Cassio Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 If the headphones jack is configured as auto-detect, try changing its default association, maybe it solves your problem. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
nikitosina Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 If the headphones jack is configured as auto-detect, try changing its default association, maybe it solves your problem. Can you explain me how to do it?
Cassio Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 It's explained in the OP of this topic and there's a link to a more detailed example http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=604 For example, if your config is nid 17 0x0221401f as 3 seq 0 Headphones Jack jack 1 loc 2 color Green misc 0 nid 18 0x01014010 as 1 seq 0 Line-out Jack jack 1 loc 1 color Green misc 0 change to nid 17 0x02214050 as 3 seq 0 Headphones Jack jack 1 loc 2 color Green misc 0 nid 18 0x01014010 as 1 seq 0 Line-out Jack jack 1 loc 1 color Green misc 0 (default association 5 must not be used by other node, use first unused number) -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
mderksen Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 When i use the (latest) VoodooHDA in this topic my laptop (Asus N53SV-SZ404V) my speakers looks like they gonna explode. A very hard noise. So i have to shutdown the laptop immediatly. I also used a older version of VoodooHDA but i didn't had a prefpane with that one. The sound was not working with this older one so i want to try the prefpane settings in first post. That's why i want to try this version. Do i have to patch my DSDT.aml for the sound? Or do i have to use an older VoodooHDA with prefpane? I patched my DSDT with DTGP, EHCI and IRQS.
Cassio Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Read about audio feedback in the first post. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
mderksen Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Read about audio feedback in the first post. You mean: Problem: audio feedback (Larsen effect), sound loop between input (microphone) and output (speakers).Solution: mute iGain and increase iMix or Mic if microphone doesn't work It's a very loud sound so could it be the larsen effect? If yes, edit this in Info.plist right? I have to reinstall Lion or can i boot without starting the VoodooHDA.kext?
Cassio Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Yes, that's it (I guess). Boot in single user mode, remove kext, then install the edited kext. Boot with -s mount -uw / rm -r /System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext reboot You can also play with iGain/iMix values in the prefPane.

Cassio Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Run editor with sudo or copy kext to desktop, edit and install it again. Remember to repair permissions and update cache (or use a tool like Kext Wizard to install). -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

iFabio Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I had seen but this piece of code is copied to the plist VoodaHDA <key>IOKitPersonalities</key> <dict> <key>SoundCard</key> <dict> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>org.voodoo.driver.VoodooHDA</string> <key>IOClass</key> <string>VoodooHDADevice</string> <key>IOMatchCategory</key> <string>VoodooHDADevice</string> <key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key> <string>0x284b8086</string> -- place here deviceID of your sound card (Chipset HDA device, not a codecID!) <key>IOProviderClass</key> <string>IOPCIDevice</string> <key>IOUserClientClass</key> <string>VoodooHDAUserClient</string> <key>NodesToPatch</key> <array/> <key>VoodooHDAVerboseLevel</key> <integer>1</integer> </dict> <key>HDMI</key> <dict> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>org.voodoo.driver.VoodooHDA</string> <key>IOClass</key> <string>VoodooHDADevice</string> <key>IOMatchCategory</key> <string>VoodooHDADevice</string> <key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key> <string>0x033f1002</string> -- place here deviceID of your HDMI device on video card <key>IOProviderClass</key> <string>IOPCIDevice</string> <key>IOUserClientClass</key> <string>VoodooHDAUserClient</string> <key>NodesToPatch</key> <array/> <key>VoodooHDAVerboseLevel</key> <integer>1</integer> </dict> </dict> I7 4770K - Z97-PRO Wifi (ac) - Intel HD4600
Cassio Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 You have to edit the parts in red (IOPCIPrimaryMatch) with the IDs of your audio cards. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
iFabio Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 You Mean: IOPCIPrimaryMatch 0x284b8086 -- place here deviceID of your sound card (Chipset HDA device, not a codecID!) IOPCIPrimaryMatch 0x033f1002 -- place here deviceID of your HDMI device on video card But the other part of the code must not be inserted. How do I find the ID of the Audio tab I state that wants to go HDMI Audio. I7 4770K - Z97-PRO Wifi (ac) - Intel HD4600
Cassio Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 You have to use your brain, a part of the code is already there, you just need to copy the HDMI part and edit the ID in both. If you want only HDMI audio, just put its ID in the existing part. How to find the IDs is explained in the first post. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
iFabio Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 (edited) You're right though I understand little of this is why I asked for help. The piece of code to be copied for HDMI: <key>HDMI</key> <dict> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>org.voodoo.driver.VoodooHDA</string> <key>IOClass</key> <string>VoodooHDADevice</string> <key>IOMatchCategory</key> <string>VoodooHDADevice</string> <key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key> <string>????</string> <key>IOProviderClass</key> <string>IOPCIDevice</string> <key>IOUserClientClass</key> <string>VoodooHDAUserClient</string> <key>NodesToPatch</key> <array/> <key>VoodooHDAVerboseLevel</key> <integer>1</integer> </dict> </dict> I have to replace ID: place here deviceID of your sound card (Chipset HDA device, not a codecID!) place here deviceID of your HDMI device on video card Edited March 27, 2012 by Guest I7 4770K - Z97-PRO Wifi (ac) - Intel HD4600
Cassio Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Man, we are stuck in a loop here. You don't need to paste the same code over and over again, I already know it. Just put you device ID there. If you can't find it, post a System Info screenshot.
