You can set it in MixerValues. You probably need to change other value to have audio after muting iGain, maybe iMix. Play with the sliders in prefPane then edit Info.plist with good values

         <key>MixerValues</key>
        <dict>
           <key>iGain</key>
           <string>0</string>
           <key>iMix</key>
           <string>50</string>
        </dict>

You can also use VoodooHdaSettingsLoader to restore prefPane values at startup (add it to Login Items).

i am going to destroy this card :evil:

in voodoo prefpane i can only set gain, mix and pcm

if gain is different from 0 pc start to make noise with speaker and the other 2 are useless, and if i try to change somethings in normal audio prefpane i have to force quit it

i think the system begin to see my soundcard but it don't know how to use it, maybe an injector like HDAenabler can help?

Try to set in Info.plist

<key>MixerValues</key>
<dict>
  <key>iGain</key>
  <string>0</string>
  <key>iMix</key>
  <string>30</string>
</dict>

and

<key>Vectorize</key>
<true/>

also set IOPCIPrimaryMatch as you did before (important to avoid conflict with HDMI audio)

<key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key>
<string>0x3b568086</string>

It works perfectly on the laptop in my signature, same audio codec.

i notice that volume control on keyboard doesn't work well, first press i see the icon on the screen, fro second press no icon and after some seconds the system lose the audio card, it reconnect only if i open audio menu

Do you have audio before muting iGain? Try to mute Monitor instead of iGain.

Hi.

I have a HP Pavilion DV7-6140eo with IDT 92HD81B1X

Sound work well with voodoohda 2.7.3.

But I use a external sound system that is connected with headphones jack. And here is the problem. When I switch on notebook, there is no sound through headphones jack. When I unplug the jack, sound is well through internal notebook's speaker, and if I plug in jack there is no sound on headphones.

And I need to reboot several occasions to appeare the sound on headphone

Is the way to resolve thise problem?

If the headphones jack is configured as auto-detect, try changing its default association, maybe it solves your problem.

It's explained in the OP of this topic and there's a link to a more detailed example http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=604

For example, if your config is

nid 17 0x0221401f as  3 seq  0	Headphones  Jack jack  1 loc  2 color   Green misc 0
nid 18 0x01014010 as  1 seq  0	  Line-out  Jack jack  1 loc  1 color   Green misc 0

change to

nid 17 0x02214050 as  3 seq  0	Headphones  Jack jack  1 loc  2 color   Green misc 0
nid 18 0x01014010 as  1 seq  0	  Line-out  Jack jack  1 loc  1 color   Green misc 0

(default association 5 must not be used by other node, use first unused number)

When i use the (latest) VoodooHDA in this topic my laptop (Asus N53SV-SZ404V) my speakers looks like they gonna explode. A very hard noise. So i have to shutdown the laptop immediatly.

I also used a older version of VoodooHDA but i didn't had a prefpane with that one. The sound was not working with this older one so i want to try the prefpane settings in first post. That's why i want to try this version.

Do i have to patch my DSDT.aml for the sound? Or do i have to use an older VoodooHDA with prefpane? I patched my DSDT with DTGP, EHCI and IRQS.

Read about audio feedback in the first post.

You mean:

Problem: audio feedback (Larsen effect), sound loop between input (microphone) and output (speakers).

Solution: mute iGain and increase iMix or Mic if microphone doesn't work

It's a very loud sound so could it be the larsen effect? If yes, edit this in Info.plist right? I have to reinstall Lion or can i boot without starting the VoodooHDA.kext?

Posted

Yes, that's it (I guess).

Boot in single user mode, remove kext, then install the edited kext.

Boot with -s

mount -uw /
rm -r /System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext
reboot

You can also play with iGain/iMix values in the prefPane.

Run editor with sudo or copy kext to desktop, edit and install it again.

Remember to repair permissions and update cache (or use a tool like Kext Wizard to install).
