MegatronsKneecap Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 Hey guys! Just did an install of BigSur on my first-gen X1 carbon and all is working great! Well... Apart from arguably the most important part of a functioning operating system - The brightness slider! I've added the SSDT-PNLF.aml and AppleBacklightFixup.kext files to my EFI folder with no results. I've also done a couple of iGPU patches but they haven't helped at all either. It's a notebook-ivybridge machine. No brightness slider appers in settings and it's completely blanked out on the control center ? Hope I can get it working with your guys's help as it's the only thing holding this back from being a great hackintosh! Here is the model of my machine if it helps: https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PDF/withdrawnbook/ThinkPad_X1_Carbon_1st_Gen_WE.pdf Looking forward to hearing your reply! Thanks, MegatronsKneecap!

Last thing is AppleALC not working. My audio chip is a Realtek 269VC and no matter what layout id I use it simply won't work. Really annoying. Any thoughts?
