trus0und Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 Hi Maldon, Having some issues getting booted here on Alder Lake. I will like to get a DSDT once I can get to the OS! Currently boot is panicking at "Should have 24 cores, but only found 16 for die 0". Do I need to disable E-Cores? Thanks! I should mention this, is trying to boot to the Ventura 13.3 installer. If I disable the E-Cores, boot hangs at SetPowerState. Thanks again!
Administrators MaLd0n Posted March 31, 2023 Administrators Posted March 31, 2023 Use this efi folder https://www.transfernow.net/dl/20230331DAkvrBtj bios in full default, just set xmp and enable vt-d 1 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Hackintosh Support since 2006 HERE

Administrators MaLd0n Posted March 31, 2023 Administrators Posted March 31, 2023 -Bios/UEFI in full default settings(Just change settings if need) -Use USB2 port for easy installation with no remap USB -Delete old EFI folder and paste new. Don't use merge files -Don't use Drag and Drop into EFI partition. Use Copy/Paste instead -Reset NVRAM one time - with OpenCore use entry "Reset Nvram" / with Clover use F11 key on boot screen 1 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Hackintosh Support since 2006 HERE
trus0und Posted March 31, 2023 Author Posted March 31, 2023 It was due to being plugged into a USB3 port yeah - I had an adpater that made it USB2 and I am at the installer. If I already have a Windows install on another NVME drive will I need to do anything special to boot to it? Hi Maldon, Up and running and got Ventura installed. Do I need to alter my serial? iCloud logged in and everything is working as expected for the most part. I have attached the RunMe file below for the DSDT. Thank you again for your amazing help! Send me Kriss-iMac-Pro.zip

trus0und Posted April 1, 2023 Author Posted April 1, 2023 Hey Maldon, to confirm is this using OpenCore Mod? Thanks! Also, I noticed in System Information it shows Hyper-Threading Technology: Disabled. Is this actually true?

trus0und Posted April 1, 2023 Author Posted April 1, 2023 Thanks for the answers! Would it not be faster to use 16 cores with HT than 24 without? Also, I am having an issue where after sleeping the Hack for a while (maybe 6 hours) my ethernet stops working until I completely power off the maching at the wall for about 10 seconds and power it back on. Have you heard of that before?

trus0und Posted April 2, 2023 Author Posted April 2, 2023 Sorry, I dont fully understand. How do I go about this and which is the old driver?
Administrators MaLd0n Posted April 3, 2023 Administrators Posted April 3, 2023 Use this kext with bootarg e1000=0 AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext.zip after that need inject one patch with some properties -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Hackintosh Support since 2006 HERE
trus0und Posted April 3, 2023 Author Posted April 3, 2023 Hi Maldon, I think that driver is already supplied and loading from the Kexts you included in the EFI folder you provided above, as thats the one I have loading currently: Driver: com.apple.driver.AppleIntelI210Ethernet What patch do I need to inject? Thanks for all your advice! I should explain, Ethernet is working. It just dies after the computer sleeps and then wont come back until a complete cold boot.

trus0und Posted April 8, 2023 Author Posted April 8, 2023 Hi Maldon, Thanks very much for your help with everything here. I worked around the ethernet issue by disabling sleep basically. Not ideal but it will do for me! I had a couple of questions. I am trying to learn more about creating a clean opencore install using the normal release and also trying to see if I can use a Mac Pro smbios. I also got a Thunderbolt EX4 card which is working, but I am trying to get hotplugging going. Do you have any experience with this? Thanks!
Administrators MaLd0n Posted April 8, 2023 Administrators Posted April 8, 2023 Tbh hotplug in these cards don't work. If u need clean efi folder just use our folder, if u need update or change version just replace files. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Hackintosh Support since 2006 HERE
