sitherah Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 The installation works fine and I can boot from the USB installer but when booting from the HDD alone, I get still waiting for root device. I figure that this happens because when you boot from the USB installer, it has the addition kexts included with the installer to make it very "generic" Boot from HHD Alone: gets PCI config, stalls trying to find boot Boot from USB and Select HDD: Got boot device, enter desktop So where might I be able to find that data on the Mavericks image? Like where the Preboot.dmg was on the Mountain Lion image? Thanks!
