Trying to install Mountain Lion 10.8 on virtual box.

Ran into a hiccup when trying to install Mac Osx. I followed the instructions from http://lifehacker.com/5938332/how-to-run-mac-os-x-on-any-windows-pc-using-virtualbox. And it hung at this screen

Excuse me but, why you want install OSX in VB if you can install in HDD.

No one in here follow this guide, so, how will we help you?

Only MV or ML 10.8.5 work with Haswell CPU.

Please dude, install OSX doesn't emulate it.

This requires me to make a separate partition? Which will require me to install windows along side correct?

Hello

Yes, you'll use your HDD to install OSX. This image is MV 10.9 a version of OSX, it's bootable, this means that is only necessary copy it for a usb stick and boot.

You can partition like this:

*Partition HDD for OSX and Windows, 1st partition for OSX and 2nd for Windows

*Partition as GUID

*Choice Mac OSX Journaled as system table for OSX and Fat for Windows.
