Laptop with no USB boot: Help me modify the EFI partition of raw image

Hey,

I have a Dell inspiron 15R laptop with a haswell i7

I cannot boot from USB on this laptop, only sata (hdd/dvd)

I have bought some DVD-DL writables with 8.5GB capacity

I have downloaded Mojave Olarila raw image and High Sierra

I am confused as to how to mount the EFI partition of the raw image so I can update the EFI to suit this laptop with the available preconfigured OpenCore EFIs

I initially mounted High Sierra

hdiutil attach -imagekey diskimage-class=CRawDiskImage -nomount

Was how I got the image to disk5

then I tried some instructions on this website for mounting EFI

sudo newfs_msdos -v EFI -F 32 /dev/disk5

which gives an empty mount folder.

I gather I messed up a bit with this last command as its mounting the entire image as one fat32 partition

I don't know how to undo this. Any time I hdiutil the image it automatically sets to being just one EFI partition

I haven't mounted Mojave yet.
